Imho having a child with schizophrenia u should be in therapy bc that must be really difficult. Luckily it looks like my son came out without any mental health issues. He turned 18 awhile ago and he's doing pretty good. I'm not that old though I had him young, lol.

When he was in grade school he had a lot of behavioral problems. They tried to put him on meds and diagnosed him with all kinds of stuff. Luckily I listened to my instincts and wouldn't let them put him on meds, although I did seek t for him. Anyway he is finally doing good. He didn't graduate but got his ged. I'm fine with that bc that's what I did and u can still go on to college.

This weekend was -41C with -57C windchill. Broke cold records where I am.

That sounds terrible I've never been out in that kind of cold before!

Well I'm in Dallas, Texas and I can't even begin to imagine how cold that feels! Brrrrrrrr!

Welp like my ex boyfriend says, my brother is a special kind of dumb. My brother and a group of his friends went to one of his friends grandmothers house. The grandmother PROVIDED them alcohol and weed for them and they are all 18 and under. My brother gets **** faced and then has sex with a 13 year old who has 4 investigations of rape charges of other boys she slept with. Since my brother is 18 now that's statutory rape right there.
Not sure how to feel about this because I was raped and molested by my mom's ex-boyfriend from before I can remember up until I was 7 years old. Sure there are differences but rape is rape right?

Yeah I think there is a big difference in where ur at at 13 compared to 18. I don't really know what to say. I hope things get figured out.

Sorry with what u went through, that's awful. I was raped when I was 14. I was a virgin and it was really hard bc my mom blamed me. She didn't know any better bc she had been through mass amounts of sexual abuse.

Anyway, that parent shouldn't have provided the alcohol imo. My son is 18 and I told him no way until he's 21. But that's just me.

I'm wide awake. This sucks. I really need to start getting out. It's just hard with all this snow and I have a hurt back, so I have to be careful. Falling on the ice is what ruptured the disc in my back. I don't drive and its like almost a mile to the bus.

I just can't wait until winter is over. But on the bright side, this is the first winter in a long time that I haven't been in a deep dark depression. I would get so depressed before I was diagnosed and medicated properly, that I couldn't even move. Couldn't eat, barely showered. Can't wait for spring bc I will get hypo. Then I get **** done. I'm hoping the meds don't stop it bc that's when I actually feel like life is worth living.

Well I'm rambling again, lol. I've just been so lonely this winter. Haven't even seen family. My son is living with his dad. His dad finally stepped up to the plate. It was so hard doing it all alone. But my son comes home a lot. But he's getting more accomplished being at his dad's since he lives closer to town and drives so he can get him around easier.

Well guess I'll check out Netflix. Hope everyone has a good morning.

I know so many adults that want to be 'cool' and serve alcohol to kids. These type of results happen all the time.
Where did this 13 year old come from? Why was she there?
AND...the poor kid has some serious things going on with her if she feels the need to have sex with older guys at that age. I am not being judgemental...hope im not coming across as so.
This is just a sucky situation all around. I have the same type of situation in my past too.Having your brother involved makes for an even more confusing situation. Sheesh. I wish I had some wise advice for you but this is a tough one. (((hugs))

First of all you're not rambling.
I know exactly how you feel when you say you've been holed up all winter that's how I have been except that this season I have had a deep deep depression that I cannot get out of I'm hoping that when spring comes I will feel a little bit better. Not showering not eating not sleeping yep that's me. Space and time are at a standstill until spring gets here!
When it warms up I will get a hyper for days. This always happens.lol
My son moved in with his dad to once he hit 14 he started having bad behaviors and I knew that he needed his father. He lives in town and he loves it too.

Highly recommend these for walking on ice but the one without a top strap will sometimes fall off in snow they all work for ice...they just strap onto your boots.

Wow that cold. We have had windchills that low but not temps. Spit must freeze before it hits the ground when its THAT cold.

im finally up. i woke up at 1am again. then my dads alarm woke me up at 5:30am. then my alarm woke me up at 7. i just went back to bed. i hate disturbed sleep!!!
