Praying this passes as they increase her dose over the next few days. Its heartbreaking to hear her and not be able to fix it.

It is so difficult to see our children in pain. Hopefully she will get used to the med. I don't really know what to say...I'm really sorry
Thanks for this!

That's some good advice... I just got to think about what I want in life. Lately it feels like I've given up on life. It feels like I'm just surviving and nothing else. I guess theres got to be something out there.
Yeah I agree with Sometimes that you need to figure out what else you want to do before you die. I have a 'suicide box' with things in there that remind me of the things I will never get to see/do if I kill myself now. Usually that helps, though it didn't when I was sectioned.

I had an appt through for the end of June with another pdoc, but it's another locum who probably won't give a ****

Also I found out today that someone took a photo of my parents and I at a store without our knowledge or permission and put it in their employee magazine. I am really annoyed about it, but my Dad just joked about getting a discount. It means though that I have proof that people are photographing me without my knowledge. Obviously I doubt that this person was working for the Govt but it really unsettled me :/

A few years ago I heard someone say that Geodon needed to be taken with a 500 calorie meal. I knew Geodon needed to be taken with food but didn't know it needed to be a specific caloric amount so I read the insert and it said a high calorie meal but not a specific caloric number. Also, I've found that Geodon doesn't hit you all at once with dense meals. Dense meals help Geodon absorb more gradually thus preventing the need to be in bed 2 hours after taking it. It's not an exact science and sometimes Geodon does sneak up on me but for the most part it works for me.

Reading a great book called taking out your mental trash by rian e McMullen who is a psychologist located in the tropical beauty of Hawaii....I'm thinking he's got all this figured out. The book is on cognitive restructuring ie changing the way you think....it's got a lot of cbt vibe in the beginning but in a way that would be fully understandable even if you didn't know anything about cbt for example in the context of our thoughts impacting emotions he comes up with the scenario of a person experiencing pain in their stomach...the interpretation and negativity associated with the pain affects the emotional outcome. So example is a guy....stomach pain oh must be a tumor.....immediate negative emotions you know how will I deal with this am I going to die etc. in contrast he provides the example of someone who has worked out yesterday and is feeling achy...yeah they may feel kind of bad but because they know they aren't going to die or anything there is no emotional content. Another example....childbirth...much worse pain than a stomach ache but has a positive association of bringing a child into the world. So three types of pain with either neutral negative or positive emotional response. The basic idea of cbt is that a particular experience doesn't cause a set emotional reaction so much as your own thoughts about what is happening that for every emotional process there is an underlying thought process. The idea is that some of us skew these thoughts in a negative way and this book is designed to correct that kind of thinking.

I was told I only needed to eat 350 calories with Geodon?? I guess I'll have more if it helps with tiredness though...

In our experience with Geodone, yes you need calories but our pdoc just adjusted the dose. If 500-750 calories were not being eaten when taking it, well, it just means less med is being absorbed into your body and you will have to have a higher mg dose.
The calorie rule drove me mad trying to figure it out. Just let ur pdoc know you dont take in that many calories at a time and he can adjust it.

I am at a tire shop. I noticed two of my tires have screws in them. I guess I ran over them somewhere. Luckily these tires are still covered on the warranty from when I bought them here about two years ago. That is a blessing. The worst part of this is I have to sit in a waiting room for about an hour surrounded by guys. Very uncomfortable!

I can't find anything on google that says it's illegal, but personally I think they should've asked permission, especially if they were going to publish it in their employee magazine! It's just common courtesy!

I finally had a bath today and washed my hair! It's my niece's birthday party tomorrow and my brother's birthday meal on Monday so I wanted to look nice (well, clean)...anyway there must be a leak in the pipes and when I emptied the bath water down the plug hole, it came out of the downstairs' ceiling and caused a big hole :/ Luckily my parents aren't mad at me!

This is so true! But I get very paranoid having to be so close to them and them staring upside my head. If it had of been a room full of girls I would still feel the same. I'm a social misfit.
