Morning all, hope everyone slept ok?

I slept well last night & I 'feel' normal today. Still hearing voices but I feel in control of my own thoughts, rather than the voices being in control. I think the nicotine patch helps in that respect, I've noticed when I take it off a couple of hours before bed my voices seem worse etc.

Last day at my parents house today before I go back to my flat until Friday or so. I have my next appointment with my p-doc on Thursday, so I want to see how I cope by myself for a few more days than last time. Will be meeting up with my friend tomorrow which is good too.

Hi guys!

Loial you must have enjoyed being at your flat last time if you want to spend longer periods there. I think living by oneself can be easier in some ways with this illness as theres not as much to keep track of. When living with people my paranoia tends to run amok.

Sorry about your weekend newtus. at least you'll be back home soon.
Thanks for this!

I think having my friend in town again helps plus I am getting a PS4 on Tuesday

It's not that I enjoyed being there last time as much as meds are now having some effect & I want to see how I get on now.

I find living alone hard because I struggle to keep on top of cooking, cleaning etc. & that puts my anxiety up, which makes my psychosis worse.

Here's hoping 3 weeks of even a low dose of meds has made a difference though!

My recommendation for cooking is to make things like soups/stews that freeze well so there is always a back up of healthy food waiting for you in the freezer.

Well they've only been open for like two weeks they might not have enough business to keep the fish fresh just yet....besides I might just avoid the fish for a while they have like ten different kinds of tacos for lunch and the others I tried were pretty good too, plus it's walking distance from my house....

Yeah cheers! I do make 2 portions worth for things like spaghetti bolognese, cottage pie, butternut squash & sage risotto...

It's just even the motivation to cook isn't there but I hate ready meals... so much salt in them & they are never that nice.

hmmm, that's a tough one for me the motivation to cook is just about always greater than eating a lean cuisine or something....in part due to salt and In part due to being boring...I like the frozen dinners at trader joes though, I don't know if you guys have them or not.....they make stuff like orange chicken or pad see ew and in their fresh case stuffed peppers and chicken pot pie that are quite good. Whole foods also had decent stuff like turkey meatballs on their food bars if you have one of the larger stores...also not sure if those are out of the U.S. yet but you guys must have some sort if trendy organic store or something right?

Hmm, not really. My folks have a trader joes re-usable bag from their visit to Cali earlier this year though....

I guess I could look at M&S ready meals... bit more expensive but they ought to have some nicer offerings. Not such an issue if I'm only buying them occasionally.

I think I'll probably manage to make 1 or 2 meals, but when the washing piles up... that's what kills the motivation that was already low.

Oh yeah, a dishwasher helps immensely.....even if you have to buy a portable one that attaches to the sink....

I only started taking drugs regularly (I've stopped now) about three months ago, this has been going on for about a year and a half.

How is everyone doing? Cold here brrrrr!

People always ask me if I have aspergers but every test I take says I'm Neurotypical....this was intersting though the social scale looks pretty neurodiverse on this test so it may be that I share some of the social aspects but not the actual condition....

Plus I just love taking new quizzes...

I'm staying in bed nearly 12 hours now because I've been going to sleep at 5 and 6 am. Oh God what am I going to do. I have so much I'm supposed to be doing and the anxiety has been so bad.
