I'm so glad to hear that! I was wondering since I haven't seen you posting as much.

I am doing well, also. I need to do more unpacking from the move but I'm procrastinating by posting on PC, I admit it. Hahah!

Lack of sleep always does me in too. I can tolerate one night of not sleeping well but if it goes on longer than that things start going south for me, fast. Ugh.
Thanks for this!

Hi guys, hope you're all doing good.

Looking for a bit of advice here. I have to do an aptitude test for a programming course next week and I'm bricking it. I know it'll have some logical questions, number sequences, verbal reasoning, those shape problems where you have to figure out the sequence or rotate them in your head and come up with the result. It'll probably have some reading comprehension too.

Thing is, I'm an alright programmer but I can't do maths in my head and need a calculator or a piece of scrap paper to work things out on. I'm afraid I won't get onto the course and it'll mess up my whole plan for college etc.

I have more than enough qualifications to do this course and if there was an interview I'd ace it, I'm just a little slow and I think that's part of having ADHD.

Anyone have any advice on how to prepare, links to similar aptitude tests or anything? I know the point of an aptitude test is you shouldn't have to prepare but I'm going to come across as an idiot when I do this test.

Any tips would be most appreciated.

I never once had a math test, or critical reasoning test which the professor didn't allot scrap paper. Have you asked the test administrator if you can possibly use a blank scrap paper? I'm no Newton or Einstein either. need at least a piece of paper for math and logic, so that I can visualize it for myself. I feel your pain.

I've heard Buspar is a good substitute, and it isn't habit inducing. I might have to get on it if my Lamictal doesn't help ease my anxiety and panic attacks. So far something has settled them down significantly. It' either the lithium or lamictal. God, let it be the Lamictal, for I'm getting off Lithium.

My motivation is through the roof!

I can feel clarity of focus at random times so I know what a higher dose would be like. I don't think I have had that on methylphenidate. Maybe it's the Prozac inhibiting the amphetamine making it a higher concentration in the blood.

It just takes 2 hours to kick in which is annoying.

Tomorrow I'm back to an informal patient again so I'll just wait a bit longer and my mom will pick me up from 4 hours away.
Thanks for this!

I did two years of third level college and we always had paper to work out problems, I mean that's a big part of programming is solving and working out your problems on paper before you code.

This place is a bit backward, I'll ring them on Monday and get more info about it.

ive had sort of a bit of a breakdown today.

i only four hours of sleep last night.
stayed up all night painting and studying. cried a bit today while talkig to myself. heard voices. pigged out on food and tv.

idk.

its like a bit of regression compared to what ive been doing the past few months.

Door, I forgot to ask my mom about the flan, she's busy right now. I'm not sure if she just used a recipe online or what but I'll check it out tomorrow for you.

I got a refund from my college from the leftover money after these past 2 semesters, it's a good thing it was processed yesterday and not earlier this week or I would have blown all of it in my mania on manatee foundation, presidential candidates, and a new violin since I thought I was going to be professional all the sudden...
