Just finished throwing stuff out my old room at my parent's house. Was quite interesting finding lots of old memories but a lot of it went. I saved some of the more memorable stuff though.

Now I'm just going to finish watching a documentary series from 1998. It's quite interesting it's called Quest for the Lost Civilisation. A lot of it is about how some ancient civilisations like the Egyptians lined their pyramids up with the constellations. Spooky thing is they all only lined up in 10,500BC long before they were built & despite the fact they were built by different people. It's got to be more than a coincidence. I'm watching it on 4oD... do you get that over there? It's on YouTube anyway... lots of documentaries are these days.

I got up late and it's overcast here. Kind of a sad looking day. I'll just be sitting and leaning on my bed as usual.

I'm glad you could sort out your stuff, I wouldn't be able to throw half my old stuff out! Though I'm not a hoarder or anything, my room is organised chaos! That documentary sounds really interesting, we have 4oD here so I may check it out. I've just been reading Wiki articles on Irish history, going to see if I can watch Michael Collins somewhere online. Haven't seen it in years!

At least you're organised, do you find yourself finishing everything early or do you cram everything at the last minute often? I used to be up late the night before everything was due stressing about getting s_it done! :P

Yeah the weather is pretty bad here too, very miserable looking day. And it's July! We're trying to plan a camping trip but it won't be happening if the weather stays like this! Have you any plans for the day? Watching anything cool at the moment or anything?
Thanks for this!

I'm terrible for procrastination too newtus... I think it's related to my anxiety though. I often feel overwhelmed or stressed by the things I have to do, so I end up avoiding them rather than just getting them out the way.

I do tend to keep stuff too. I mean it's only because my parent's are moving out that I'm clearing the room otherwise I'd have continued to keep stuff there.

As for Irish history, I'm pained to say I know little about it. I guess you must have learnt this sort of thing in school though. Perhaps I'll check that documentary out.. I see there is one on him on YouTube that I guess you are referring to.

I'm the same way these days. It's often to the point I get nothing done for days.

What's that? I have nothing to watch at the minute so going to throw on a movie. I was watching Hannibal but got bored of it and Wayward Pines finished the other night, it was so awesome! Wet Hot American Summer is on next week so I'm looking forward to seeing that, the film was so funny so the series is going to be awesome I bet!

I'm like that too. I wish I had the structure of school though, like knowing you have some work due and having to get it done. I've been trying to get back into programming and sys admin stuff but it's just not happening. I just procrastinate so much! Like you guys said, I get so stressed I just avoid it! Not good!

Haha you're like my brother so, he moved out about 10 years ago and there's still boxes of stuff here full of his stuff lol!

Yeah we learned a lot in school about it but I didn't remember half the stuff. I haven't seen that documentary on Youtube but I'll check it out, I was on about the film Michael Collins with Liam Neeson, Julia Roberts and Alan Rickman, among others. It's all about his life and the 1916 Rising. You should check it out if you can find it online, amazing very poignant movie.
Thanks for this!

Newtus: If you don't mind me asking, are you still taking your Haldol? You seem to be doing quite well, as you say you're in recovery. Would you attribute that to meds? I was prescribed chlorpromazine the other day and I just can't handle the sedation so I'm not taking it. I remember you had a similar problem I'm just wondering did that resolve?

Have you ever tried going to a coffee shop or the library? When I want to get intellectual stuff done I do it somewhere where there is no distractions and temptations to watch tv and the like.

I was a vegetarian for 4 years until sz happened in my life... The worse it gets the worse I eat and drink.

If you can do it for 30 days you can do it. I'll jump back on the train again, as long as it doesn't run over me. Good for you, Newtus. Animals think and feel too. Even the lowly caterpillar who crosses a thousand leaves to find the one that is right for its diet.

@chickenfoot It's a survivalist reality TV show. It's about people who are dropped in the middle of jungles etc without food or water (or clothes) for 21 days. They survive as best they can. Sounds awful but actually a really entertaining show!

I think about it sometimes too. I got vegan cookbooks and make something every now and then. I don't think I'll be able to go full out vegan, but if you wanted to maybe start out slow. Maybe add a couple more vegan meals a week and see how it goes and go on from there.

I'm freaking out. I've been staying with my boyfriend for a few days out of the week. My sister moved back home and says that I can't have "her" room back because she cleaned it. Here's some of the screen shots of how horrible she's being. I can't stop crying. She doesn't understand why I need my space. It's my safe, enclosed space.

This is what she's said to me. Warning: there's a lot of curse words. NSFW

I really think they should implement a "slap" button into PC for occasions such as these.
