And the time I went in a couple days later when I was admitted to the psych ward a nurse stuck a needle in my muscle and it hurt like hell and I yelped "you hurt me" and she laughed and started mimicking the way I said it and laughing.

I've had that happen. I went to an ER in a bad part of town so I could afford it and the nurses desk was right across from the room and I could hear them laughing and complaining about patient in room x. (Whatever number it happened to be) and two nurses were loudly talking about how I'm just another pain pill seeker. The nurse came in and handed me a prescription for ibuprofen and said nothing was wrong. But they didn't even do any imaging or anything. It's like they were rushing me out and didn't care. I know it's meant for low income people mainly, but they don't have to be so rude. My friend got mad and drove me to another city that had a really good hospital. They were so much nicer and cleaner. They gave me something in my iv to help with the pain and the doctor came in and was really nice. Explains my tests came out good. I didn't hurt my head slamming it on a soap dish and breaking it off with my head only.

Right, the hospital this happened to me at is also in a really bad area. I am very aware of what happened there. That hospital had a one Star rating on Yelp until they recently got a suspiciously glowing five star review.

That's the only hospital I was ever mistreated at. I'm sorry you've had some bad experiences too.
Thanks for this!

Yikes, I've thought of going to one around me before but after reading the yelp reviews I decided locking myself up in my room alone was a better option.
Thanks for this!

Yeah, I don't know what I'll do if I ever have to go to a hospital again and I'm still living here. I vowed to myself I'd die here before I'd ever go back there. There is a decent hospital about an hour away but I'm not likely to be taken there in an emergency.
Thanks for this!

There's no way for me to disbelieve you... I think I made it clear that I'm not discounting what you said. And I did not mean to come off as condescending at all. Benzo withdrawal in and if itself is torture.. and any mistreatment by staff would be accentuated by the withdrawal process. e

I guess I misunderstood then. Thanks for clarifying.

me and my pdoc do not get on , I have met countless people in his team , pdocs , and I get on well with all of them. I hadnt met him in about 20 months , he passes me on to other people in his team , which is fair enough. but this time I explicitly asked to meet him. he clocked me coming in the door , 'looks like you brought the weather with you'. it was a bad day weather wyse. then I told him I want to get a masters , and was looking for state assistance , basically could I swing something because im schiz. he said he wanted to be a pilot...lolz what a jerk. looks like he is going to revert to not taking our meetings. small loss..

He sounds like a jerk. You're better off without him.

yeah he wanted me on clozapine years ago , and I said no. he said if his child had schiz , then that is the med he would put him/her on. I have never met a doc who was so sure of himself in terms of clozapine. and he is a doc with an absolute tone of experience. I have being on forums for years and basically hardly anyone has a good thing to say about the drug. thats practitioners and patients. and I dont think its confirmation bias on my part. I am genuinely happy to hear great clozapine stories , and I just don't get them. I know Elyn Sacks takes it and she has done great , but I really wanted to hear more..

maybe all the people taking clozapine are too busy saving the world and have little time to be blogging...lolz
