I doubt this thread could be helpful for anyone with noisy neighbours. Only reinforce irrational fears and delusions they may not already have. It's damaging if you ask me.

If anyone does check this thread out who had problems with noisy neighbours, take the proper action of calling in and complaining politely. Don't scream really loud at the top of your lungs antagonising and making a situation worse. Don't jump to mad conclusions thinking they're putting listening devices in your apartment and using "triggers" to annoy you (whatever the hell that means). Seriously, just call in and voice your concerns, that's the logical reasonable way adults deal with complaints. Behave like an adult and don't let something so miniscule rule your life.

Right, as you always do.

This isn't about noisy neighbors. It's about situations where years or less of polite conflict end up with one party being forced out. Here, that can happen to people with mental illnesses.

My struggles to hang on long enough that I can make a good decision as to where I can go, and what I can do, are part of this thread.

I have a very specific trigger that makes me physically ill. They are using it with extreme abandon.

everybody is so quick to judge. Honestly my neighbors flip when my dogs bark it's a legitimate complaint but I'm not doing it intentionally. If I was I would expect the police to be called. If I lived in an apartment and had neighbors intentionally tormenting me with banging and stomping I'd be close to the edge myself. We don't know what's going on aside from what Angelique shares how would we know with such certainty that its delusional thinking. Maybe the holes in the floor is extreme but the noise appears to be real. Why else would she continue to take the abuse (for lack of a better term) she's getting here about it?
I hope the increase in abilify helps you to feel better about all this you deserve some peace.

Thank you, ofthevalley. I can only wish this weren't real.

Bad things happen in apartment buildings, especially maybe the small ones like this, where you either are going to be close friends, or worst enemies with your adjoining neighbors. Did I mention bad things happen? Can't say it enough.

I think the repeated, displeased references to me screaming are maybe a collective revulsion to the madwoman stereotype. Just a guess! I don't scream all the time, but when I do...

------------------
The triggering is still going on, so I feel sick in my body. They are losing just a little bit of steam with the janitor or someone working in a unit during the day. They are doing triggering, but only on the front room. Unfortunately I can't really hang out in the back room, where they're too cautious to trigger. I wish I had a normal place without clutter.

For some reason I am exhausted every day now.

Hey, how would you feel if you came on here and posted about a chip in your brain and you wanted to cut it out, or you want to and tab someone, etc...

And you got berated and made fun of for it? We generally offer support here as this is a support forum. I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish because it doesn't seem very supportive.

Thank you, junkDNA. I'm wondering why I'm encountering so much anger and resistance to believing what I posted in this thread. It's over the top, and unlike anything I've seen here in this forum before.

I'm med compliant and experiencing as much lack of delusions as I ever did when I was my younger real self. The Abilify is working. So I don't know what it is that is vexing people so much.

There are three of them now all triggering me. Taking turns, not all three at once as they did at first.

But it's making me sick. Trying not to react because that only encourages them. But it makes me feel so much sicker.

I should be making calls, etc. But then they'll be doing it all through my calls like they did the other day. Without my ear plugs in and the music and tv going on. There's too much torture and I can't deal with it.

I'm exhausted too. I only got maybe four hours of sleep divided in two blocks. I was up at 3 am and didn't try to get back to sleep until maybe 5 am. Up at 7. I'm not sure why I keep waking so abruptly.

As I said, I should be doing research and making phone calls but I'm just too sick.

So far, I've been up since 7 something and I guess they were asleep. There was no triggering the past 3+ hours. But apparently the male from downstairs just woke up.

I hope today won't be as bad as yesterday with the triggering. I'll have to take an earplug out because of a pharmacy delivery later. Dread it.

Small apartment buildings definitely have a lot more conflict in them.

I always kept my distance from my neighbors, until last summer when I started talking to my neighbor about his carpentry projects. It was always pleasant until the landlord got upset at him for hoarding. The neighbor started accusing me of things I didn't do and tried a few times to start a fight. Now, I do not talk and attempt to socialize with him. I refuse to get into a fight over inane things such as the recycle bin or mailbox. Anyway, he seems to love fighting with the neighbors. Even the elderly lady across the street has been a target. It is ridiculous.

Have you tried a white noise machine or playing music at a low volume? Another thing you could try is moving rooms. I moved my bed in the living room because my (other) neighbor, who lives above, wakes up very early. His walking used to wake me, since his bedroom was directly above mine. Now, I sleep better.

I haven't read the entire thread, so I'm sorry if I am repeating suggestions.

My checkbook has disappeared. I probably put it someplace when I was thinking I was going to run away from here.

The exhaustion recently is concerning me. Have not been eating much.

The two downstairs have been up for awhile. She's been doing her best to trigger me. Hoping they are starting to wind down. This is the first day they weren't already awake and waiting to ambush me.

Hi, didgee. Thank you for the suggestions. Unfortunately my back room is too cluttered to move stuff in there. I have an almost hoarding situation here (almost but not quite because I stopped buying new things awhile back some months).

This conflict here is the worst and most bizarre I've ever experienced. I hope it will stop.

The quiet music suggestion would be good if it would drown them out, but it wouldn't. Only the TV plus music on my phone simultaneously sort of disguises what they're doing although I can still hear it.

Now I know why it's been quieter here today, there's a workman/janitor out front.

I took out my earplugs a while ago so I'd hear when the pharmacy delivery got here. I've had earplugs in straight for at least the whole last week and a half. I've discovered that earplugs in make me feel dead. Also, the pos downstairs is still listening to his disgusting music. Also, he gives the wall a little bang when he wants to confer with the &%$#@ upstairs. That's actually been going on though since long before the war of 2016. I'll have to put earplugs in by 5:00 today. That's when they'll start again.

I wish to God I had no fear of prison.

The rule for the defense is: Use What You Have.

I've been in victim mode since this began because I'm so conditioned by my life as a victim of forces I couldn't control. (Parents, peers, Acts of God, etc.)

Today as they were gearing up to torture me a little more (because they're psychos and get off on it), my whole heart and soul sank.

I can't actually remember this evening in sequence. I made pasta and they were triggering me a little. I put the TV on a movie.

At some point, bigfoot the stomper from upstairs became displeased with the volume. So I turned it up! I've been so afraid of doing anything here. But so what if she calls the police, I can explain my side if they come! And it's unlikely she'd call. Ditto for her friends downstairs.

She stomped, to tell me to turn it down or to desperately signal her partner in evil. So I turned it up! They've kept trying to trigger me, and I just turn it up again.

This may not end well for me, but don't be afraid to use what you've got when some psycho wants to control and upset and weaken you.

She wants to sleep. I don't know if she'll get any tonight. And when I feel guilty I remember how sick I felt here for well over a week of them torturing me. Sick and silent and afraid.

Why did you post it here in Schizophrenia and Psychosis?Bcoz you know it's irrational.Stamping and stuff.I would suggest that you go over to them and talk to them.Your neighbours. Its just common noise that you can expect anywhere.

They're still triggering me. Mostly it's the alleged wife downstairs. But the other two are still doing it more occasionally.

Apparently my experiment with the TV volume last night didn't carry over for even at least 12 hours. I don't really like having the volume up so I'm not sure if I'll keep doing that.

I'm still feeling extremely alone through all this. I wish there were an off button on my body so I could choose between comfortably numb all the way to dnr.

Oh crap. They just signaled each other. She stamped once and then he banged the wall once. What are they going to do?

He let in my pizza delivery earlier. I was hoping maybe it meant this was winding down. I guess not.

In terms of your delusions about your neighbours I think most people here find it familure and understand how traumatising all this is.

Me personally though , I see that there is no possible way your situation can improve until you get yourself an advocate or social worker. These problems just dont magic themselves away , unless a person takes action. Any social worker if they came into your property and saw your situation would be compelled to take action to improve your situation. No seating arrangement and no space , all you have is essentially a bed , to sit.on , considering your medical realities, is a very bad situation.

Except for triggering me last night, and scaring me a lot, they didn't do much else but go out to the car and rev the engine again. I'm hoping this is winding down.

I just got up and for the first time in a month they aren't waiting for me. This is a very good thing.

Actually they were waiting for me. It just took them awhile to start triggering me.
