So, in short, my take is don't bother with glasses until you need them.
Yeah, not bad logic.

I'm going to take a couple of weeks to think about it. My parents said they would help me out to cover the cost, so essentially there is no reason not to if I think I'll get some real benefit.

Although I can imagine how ****** it must be to get new prescriptions that don't do what you want.

Test or picking out glasses, or both?

I spent like an hour today getting various shop assistants to help my try on frames at different stores. Pretty overwhelming how much choice there is, so it really helped having someone in the know to pick out ones that were likely to be a good fit.

Got a couple of options now if I decide to go ahead with glasses.

Those look nice. I hope they fit you!

The two I liked were:

https://www.misterspex.co.uk/glasses..._f6519851.html

Or

Ted Baker Blazer B937 Kids Glasses | Opticians - Boots

(the second pair are actually teenagers glasses )

I think I prefer the first, but they are more expensive. Still, my Mum will come along to check them out when she's up in two weeks assuming I decide to get some, which I probably will.

That's not necessarily a bad thing... I told the shop assistant I had harry potter type glasses when I was 6 & she was like, "those are back in fashion now"

I'm really mad at myself. I'd didn't even cry at my mom's funeral , I couldn't and I don't know why. I cried on and off several days when she died. I went through the grieving process really fast and accepted her death because I know she's not suffering now. I just feel like a cold ***** for not crying when even.my.brother broke down and he hasn't seen her in a long time and they really didn't speak. It's not like I don't care because I do. Maybe it's partly my medicine idk.

Go with whatever you two are comfortable with, talk to him about it.

Most important part of a relationship - in my experience - is when the two people legit talk to each other about what they want.

When I am sad, I cry. But when I am in a very deep sorrow, I can't cry. Could you maybe the same? Please don't mad at your self

If you allow me to give you an opinion, you can talk about this with him. This might be the first time you two discuss a thing as a couple and a good chance to start learning about how to communicate as a partner in a way to build a healthy relationship

Most important part of a relationship - in my experience - is when the two people legit talk to each other about what they want.

the reason why im not entirely comfortable about it is because he flip flopped on me when i asked him if he liked me and wanted to be in a relationship. it mustve been like 7 times where he was like "i like you but i dont know if i want to be in a relationship" then he said he did. then just flip flopped 7 times or so.

he has schiz and idk if hes serious about it. i havent been in a relationship in 8 years so i dont want to be led on. i feel like this is either a fling, a short lived relationship, or a friends with benefits situation. all of those i dont want to put on my fb because i dont want to have to delete it soon.

im the type of FB person that rarely posts and dont like people in my personal life because my family is on there mostly. including my parents and sister and if this is a fling this will make me really sad.

but TBH its probably more of a fling/short lived relationship because i made the first move on him because TMITMITMI but to TBH i was pretty horny. i havent been touched in many many years and like im not sex crazed but i have needs to. im human.
