So my name Troy. I am a 16 year old American boy. It is a long story so I shall keep it short. I started having problems about 3-4 years ago. I have 2 major problems: Anhedonia(Lack of emotion) and Derealization(everything feels fake). I was wondering what kind of diagnosis's I am looking at. And is this psychosis?I have also been somewhat of a mild sexual sadist my whole life.

Hello PleaseComeOn: I'm sorry you are experiencing these problems. We here on PC cannot diagnose you. Our purpose here is to provide one another with support & to share experiences. (Perhaps some other members, here on PC, may wish to offer some suggestions.) Mental health diagnosis is a job for professionals. So since you feel you may be experiencing some mental health problems, the best thing to do would be to see a mental health therapist or a psychiatrist. Otherwise, all you're getting is someone else's opinion based on almost no information. Personally I would be afraid this might simply lead you to incorrect conclusions & unnecessary concern... two things you don't need. Please take care... & keep posting here on PC!

I don't know what to say. but would like to help you. I am not a doc or t but i think you should see one. i myself feel numb and sureal sometimes too. I suffer depression which i think causes a type of psychosis where i feel like i'm not my true self if you can relate.I also am schitzophrenic and PTSD. I've had a long hard battle with all these things and i say the sooner the better if you get help. Good luck
