@sometimespsychotic any studies on this?
It sounds like your allergies are triggering migraines....don’t know of the studies though I only really read about sz.

Idk ive had migraines since i was 9. Not only was i on barbiturates around 11 or 13, ive been to many doctors about my migraines. Nobody can figure the cause. I always chalk it up to stress but im starting to believe thats not the only answer. Could be allergies too. I just read that migraines are considered hives of the brain.

Me too. I'm getting very worried about pucker wrinkles around my lips - from using my vape. My skin is pretty good because I stayed out of the sun a lot through most of my life. But those vaping wrinkles will be so upsetting.

You should get your thyroid checked though since there is a family history.
I have to do something because my hair is very thin on the top, back and sides. I've always had higher than normal fall out but it never got so thin before. Although I've had big bald spots from pulling. Thank God I don't do that anymore.

The last time I baked a butternut squash I put the whole thing in the oven for like 20 or 30 minutes until it was soft enough to cut. Worked like a charm.

excellent....I actually saw for butternut you can microwave it for 3 minutes if you want to peel it....apparently it just cooks the outer part just enough to make it soft enough to peel.

I got a kabocha squash one fall I think I like it better than butternut but it could have been that it was fresh from the farmers market. Still I'm excited about it...you can also roast the seeds separately they are like small pumpkin seeds and truly excellent. I don't know why they aren't more readily available.

Mm, that sounds good. I haven't had roasted pumpkin seeds since I was a child.

Played some Life is Strange....feeling okay-ish. Less depressed, but still a bit depressed. At least I distracted myself for a little while.

Made this recipe. Rotini pasta, Mediterranean seasoned veggies, with pesto sauce.

Roll Call #115

Today is my first day studying, its not going great....I think I've watched 2 10 min videos out of some 27 hours worth. I'm going to have to figure out how to become more focused on it----its hard normally there are tests that make you study---of course there is one big test at the end of this. I just learned about hyperthreading----that it exists and basically doubles the cores in your cpu at least according to the task manager. Then I watched a video on the cache and how that works, it helps that mike Meyers is funny/easy to understand but my brain is like lets go play, lets cook lets learn to make yogurt in the crock pot or whatever. It's like I let it off the leash and its so excited.

Yup hyper-threading makes the system see two logical processors per core. It helps with heavily threaded applications. Not a double over performance gain, but upwards of 25% I estimate from non-HT'd parts.

That's cool---I kinda wish I had known some of this when I was buying my computer, but it's got plenty of power so no worries. I remember back in the day when photoshop would nearly kill my work computer, we actually had a special guy to do the imaging stuff and he needed a high powered mac to do it. We had these old computers in the break room and they would do those green screen video games where you just typed in what was essentially a choose your own adventure game.

What recipe did you follow? I'm kinda wondering about using seasoned veg and then adding pesto to it.

Yeah....Photoshop and any of the Adobe suite software is heavily taxing on the computer, CPU, memory and GPU....when I worked at the college we had high end workstations for the communications department cause they needed to do these things quickly.
Thanks for this!

Next time I would try either plain veg and pesto or just the seasoned veg----sometimes less is more.

Also its actually really fun to find recipes on blogs and stuff...I recommend serious eats, smitten kitchen, and simply recipes......although food gawker is where you can flip through loads of eye candy and pick a recipe based on what it looks like

Have you ever considered a meal service, they keep portion sizes pretty reasonable and some of them basically teach you to cook. I'm going to be trying blue apron on the 16th, my little sister tried it and loved it. You can pick either straight forward dishes or cool stuff like Korean rice cakes to your own taste each week.
