Are you drinking to self-medicate? I drink to relieve my flat affect so that I can actually feel something. Is it specifically to stop anxiety or is it compounded for some other reason? How much on average do you drink?

I totally get it though. I would drink 2 beers a month until this wicked illness arised.

There's nothing wrong with needing help. Or asking for help. Have you told your pdoc about it? Or your regular doc?
Thanks for this!

Yes. If it were my decision and responsibility I'd do my best to leave. But it's not only up to me, my friend has been paying for my support all the years up until I landed here. I can't just take that for granted.

My pdoc is aware I’ve had problems. He offered me a referral but I said I wanted to get on top of it by myself. I’ve not really said much about it to him recently but will when I next see him.

I’m going to call my GP on Monday and should get an appointment the same day. That’ll start the ball rolling.

Morning/Afternoon,

Been quiet around here overnight! Hope everyone has been having fun.

I’m okay. Just a usual day for me. I’m currently watching Blow. It’s a film about George Jung who was a drug trafficker. Seen it before but not for a few years. It’s good.

My friend is visiting today. We'll probably go to our brunch cafe. They serve mainly egg dishes. They have quit using plastic straws so I'm thinking of bringing my own but I'm afraid they'll be pissed off. What a stupid thing to worry about.

Morning! Drinking coffee.
Bringing my daughter to the mall today. I’m going to run to Target and Yankee while I’m there. Still looking for an oil diffuser. Then I’m going to run to the soap lady for my husband. He’s in love with the goats milk soap.
Other than that just hanging out. Scotty’s coming by for a while.
I’ve decided to pick knitting back up. I haven’t knit since my mom died. Reminds me of her. I’m going to knit myself a wool blanket. I’m currently on the search for the perfect yarn. I’m going to be a jerk and find the colorway I want and have one of my mom friends replicate it. Since it’s wool it will be pricey for the yarn...id rather give that $ to someone I know who needs it.

had a good night last night

my roommate said it was her best birthday ever and kept saying thank you to me

she invited a boy she's crushing on and we went downtown. I bought her 3 drinks... then we came home and drank and chilled

It felt good that I helped give her a good birthday. dare I say I might have felt warm fuzzies over it!! maybe I'm not the cold hearted sociopath I thought!!

Hey! Drinking more coffee lol.
I’ve had a busy day so far. Cooked, cleaned, did laundry, got gas, went to the atm, drove all over creation picking my daughters friends up, brought them to Starbucks then the mall, went to Yankee but I skipped target, went to see my guy, and then came home and cooked again.
Now I’m waiting to go pick up the kids and bring them all home. Secretly I love being the designated driver. I hate when my kids are in cars with other people.

Haha. I don’t love driving either. I just like it better than the alternative. And I don’t drive in the snow lol.

I don’t have a T. It did at the time. What with us chatting all the time and her sending me a suicide message. But I’m over it now. Still makes me sad but I remember all the good chats now rather than the negatives.

I don’t know what to say. She was a really nice person when you got to know her.

Did something happen or has his health just deteriorated suddenly?

He went in to hospital due to fluid on the lungs but then he had a heart attack while he was in there. My mum used to be a nurse and she doesn't think he's got much longer left. I feel bad for my nan because she was robbed and hurt not long ago and now she's gotta deal with this.
