Maybe I'm stuck in purgatory and don't realize it, that would explain a lot

My first day was good.

I'm in T's waiting room. It's communal, for a bunch of Ts and Pdocs. There's a screaming baby, around 18 months old. I know babies scream but it's really hard to relax before T and get in a good headspace.

There is constant mumbling and chattering going on it's like a tv or radio is whispering in my ear

I cant sleep and my stomach hurts.

Yuck... And you have work in the morning... I hope you can sleep soon. Fingers crossed!

Yes ugh. Thank you. I'm not even tired. Idk why.

Oh no... Can you take a couple Benadryl or something?

I did at 8pm last night. I probably shouldn't take more.

I barely ate yesterday. Im eating leftover pizza. Sometimes eating helps me sleep, if theres carbs involved.

Woke up at 2:30am, couldn't get back to sleep and it's after 4 so I'm up for the day I guess

It's 3:15 here and I haven't slept... You're doing better than me.

I keep thinking about what mistakes I made at work yesterday. I tripped over my title and my words multiple times. It was embarrassing as hell. In my defense, I was very tired by 3pm and wanted to go home, but it practically took 2 hours almost to introduce myself to the (about) 100 people or more that worked there.

You'll get used to it. It was only your first day.

The leftover pizza seemed to calm my stomach. But I still cant sleep. I havent used the bathroom properly either for 2 days. I'm sure that is what's causing my stomach to hurt too.

Ya stomach stuff will definitely get to you. I have issues there too.

Sometimes I do, but I usually don't. At least not lately. When my daily routine is thrown off I dont use the bathroom properly, sleep properly, or eat properly. And with working, its gonna take time to get into a new routine.

Yea, that too. I guess a routine change for me is always stressful. Hopefully once I get used to this routine and comfortable enough, everything, from my sleep to eating and more, will return back to normal.

My manager sat me down yesterday and gave me a lot of compliments including "you're a beautiful person and u have a beautiful face"

Of course I didnt believe him. He said I do great work but his only thing w me is my introversion and not smiling enough. He said he dowsnt want me to be fake but that he wants me to feel comfortable to open up w coworkers

I kinda laughed cause I was thinking boy if u knew me 6 years ago ....

I've come a long way but it seems like it's never enough for some ppl!

10,000 steps in so far this morning

Was able to get a couple more hours of sleep.

I've been watching tons of tech bag set ups on YouTube, like all kinds of cool tech stuff to have when you travel or everyday stuff. Laptops, different kinds of chargers, tablets, cameras, gaming stuff etc
