She’s been talking about moving there for a few years. I should’ve realized that that’s what she really wants.

What I meant was not about money but stuff is closing quickly so there’s less quality on the market imo...

This is what I’m going to say....most people move away from family at some point....it’s not about the family so much as other opportunities. In your mom’s case she probably wants to see her grand-babies...and you’re doing so well an found a person of your own. There’s a transitional phase where you move from your primary family to a family of your own, the one you choose. You’re at that point now and it can be rough but it comes with freedom as well. If you don’t have ties you can move anywhere....or if you wanted you could move to San Antonio too. Maybe there’s somewhere where you don’t have to worry about as much racism? Think of what you’ll gain not lose.....

Yea but I can’t just leave my dad here. I still feel so much like a child when it comes to my parents. But I do have abandonment issues.

Usually you get over that attending college away....a lot of people get homesick though.....I’m not sure if you’ve ever gone away but you get used to it.

Well, finally got maybe 5 hours of pretty crappy sleep, so, that is nice. I am feeling pretty fair so far. Was so very sad yesterday. Just awful. So much badass depression over teh decades. It still scares me. I can honestly say, other than something happening to my kids, the only thing that frightens me today is my own brain. And it scares the sh** out of me. What it is capable of. So bad. I do think I am going to have to change my antidepressants and possibly stope my lithium. I do not think it is helping anymore.

Was able to write for 90 minutes and it was quite high-quality. Hooray!! FIrst time in 4 weeks. So, maybe a little progres? Maybe? It would be so nice. I am still on schedule. If I can finish my edits in the next few weeks, my editor can get it back to me before the end of September and I can then get it on shelves by Christmas, which has been the goal. So, maybe I can still make it happen, if I keep feelign a bit better.

Writing this book is extremely triggeriing of my PTSD, so, it is super tricky trying to balance working on it and not getting too triggered and then freaking out totally. Quite tricky for me, but the book is so important to me and to my recovery that the show must go on. So, onward!!!!!!!!

Hope everyone has a great day!!! Hugs!!!!!!!!!!!

Grilled Chicken and Peach Saltimbocca Skewers Recipe | Serious Eats

This looks so good! If only I had a personal chef, lol. Not much of a griller myself, usually leave that up to the bf and we just do the basics.

But ... reason I’m posting is I know a few of you guys cook...how would you feel about a sz recipe thread? Stuff that we want to make or favorites or whatever. I mean assuming it doesn’t get moved....let me know if you think it sounds ok? Last thing I want is some orphan thread....

I ordered the game guide to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I had a guide for Animal Crossing: Wild World and it was very useful for keeping track of what you have in the game so I think this one will be too.

And a few more Kindle books

I'm getting a garmin smartwatch next week instead of a fitbit. My sister has a 40% off coupon for any Garmin product. Original price is $189
