For anxiety, I do prayer, meditation, deep breathing. Exercise helps a ton. Google breathing and Thich Nhat Hanh. Yoga with Adrienne. Youtube.

I'm sorry Falcon... You're on a lot of Zyprexa -- isn't that supposed to help you sleep?

Also, I saw my new pdoc yesterday. She wants to leave most things the same, which is a good sign because the combination I have been on is good. I mean, there's room for improvement, but she doesn't want to make any big changes anytime soon. That is such a relief!

Is there anything you can do to cope in the meantime before you get the injection?

I'd say work on both the physical health and the mental health a little at a time at the same time.

I don't have much luck losing weight. Stupid AP's. But walking is great for endorphins and stuff like that. Plus it would get you out of the house. I think IIRC you've been having trouble doing that lately.

Anxiety coping mechanisms:
prayer
reading scriptures
walking
listening to music
coloring/drawing/painting
talking to a friend/texting a friend
shopping--even just browsing online or "window shopping"
doing a word search or playing a board game
anything distracting......

Hope this helps newtus!

5 hours until Esther's vet appointment, if the vet is on time which I highly doubt as he seems to never be on time. I wish I was home with her today but I just got back to being at work full time and I already need Friday off to go to my sister's. I really hope the vet doesn't tell me it is time to let her go. But if he does, I hope I am strong enough to do it. I don't want my baby suffering. She is probably hiding out under my bed anyway. That's where she was yesterday.

My doctor asked me how I am and I said I'm "Ok". He mentioned exercise etc and I said that I'm taking a 10 day break on the island with my mom and sister for something to look forward to. I didn't feel like talking much. He prescribed the 10mg IR and refilled my meds so I just have to wait for the pharmacists to refill them.

I hope the vet will say that Esther will be okay

I went to the thing in the community room today. Just got back upstairs. I had a hotdog, popcorn, and a capri sun. We watched Fright Night 2: New Blood. It was fun. Only one other person came to it aside from me and the supportive housing case manager but it was still a nice time. They're doing another showing of it at 4pm today. Not sure how many people will be going to that one.

Thanks Bluebird, keep doing your drawing and try crochet. They’re more fun that I thought they would! I tried them for the first time today and these results were really bad but I enjoyed the process I’mma share this so you can laugh together with me 😂

What kind of yarn are you using if you don't mind me asking? I'm looking for a higher quality yarn than what came in my crochet starter kit and that looks really nice

Your lettering and crochet are really good Better than I can do, you'll get even better with practice!

These ones are 80% cotton 20% milky fiber (I have no idea what milky fiber is). Not sure about the quality because I don’t know anything yet about yarn, but it’s really soft
