When I first read this I thought you meant you were literally sitting on top of your phone, and I was like, "hmm". But I know what you mean now.

I get it with not being able to focus with the TV on. Sometimes I will put on an audiobook that I am genuinely interested in and I can't focus on it.

That's why I've been resorting to listening to fiction audiobooks lately. They have been keeping my attention quite nicely.

Pretty good, things have been going mostly well. I've only had a few instances of paranoia since I last time I saw her and my mood has been good and stable.

How are you today?

I feel pretty good this morning.

Good to hear you haven't had that much paranoia.

At least the surgical area and the hematoma don’t actually hurt anymore. Just feels weirdly uncomfortable and awkward.

Did you get results yet of whether it was cancer?

My appointment went well. She's happy to hear that the paranoia is much less, and when I do have it, it's manageable, like last night when I had it I took some klonopin, my night meds, and went to sleep. I woke up feeling better. She also said she's proud of me for me volunteering to call bingo for my building. All my meds are staying the same, she sent out refills. Our next visit is 2 months away instead of 1 month because I'm doing well.

Remind me to never forget to eat a big meal right before (like 10-15 minutes before) taking my meds. Worst acid reflux of my life. I ate breakfast at 8am but didn't take my morning meds till close to 11am. I was just dry heaving in the bathroom feeling like I was gonna throw up and acid coming out. 7 pills at once on a fairly empty stomach is very a bad idea.

So apparently you need at least 130g of carbs a day….to maintain brain and other functions…..generally you don’t want it to be all sugar, you need carbs like rice beans potato pasta bread but at least for me I got most of mine from sugar so I’ve had to get used to carbs from other sources. You need to replace on with the other not restrict completely.

I typically try to avoid candy but this is a very rare/occasional treat I'm letting myself have.

In my regular everyday eating though I do need to add more carbs. I don't typically eat rice, beans, potatoes, pasta, etc in most of my everyday meals so that's probably what's missing. I do like that stuff, I just fell into the habit of not eating enough of them

I think the vegan sweet potato curry I'm making next month will be good. It has sweet potatoes in it obviously, red lentils, chickpeas, etc, and I can have it with rice and vegetables (I'm not vegan but it looked good)

Have to admit, I’ve been having crackers and chips because I’m not used to those carbs either…it was always sweets.

Didn't sleep enough, went to bed after 1am and woke up at 6am. Might try taking a nap later.

Chips are so delicious. For awhile I was eating a lot of different flavors of Pringles. I love Lays BBQ chips and also sour cream and onion. Or just plain is good, especially on a sandwich, that may sound weird but chips taste good in sandwiches

Cheez-it's are really good too

Speaking of food, I bought some sour patch kids, that's one of my favorite candies and I haven't had it in forever, like years. Anyway, I was reading that if you're anxious or feeling a little dissociated eating something really sour can kind of help

I'm gonna put a box of them in my anti-anxiety kit, coping box whatever you want to call it

I think it would be good to have around anyway because it would help me if my blood sugar got low or something and I wasn't feeling good (I'm not diabetic, have been tested for it recently and am not even pre-diabetic) but I think most people feel like crap when their blood sugar gets low so.

I saw that article but didn’t read it….I was actually thinking of the queasy drop I had gotten my mom to deal with nausea.

I'm the opposite. I like to mix all my food together lol

Try a darker cut like chicken thighs and usually bone in is good for keeping moisture in the chicken
