I just put the old blanket in a trash bag. The new one wasn't working out so great as a fill in for the dent in the bed so I stuffed a little down jacket in the dent and put the new cover over it. Wish I had done it when I first got the new cover

Okay! I took a big ol chair that i never use down to the garbage room. Very very very proud of myself. Now i need to take the actual garbage down because they are going to be painting the basement floors for the next coupla days and i got orange peels in here already starting to smell.

Lots of productivity here! I went away for a few days and came back to a really bad smelling house (something nasty in the trash). I also found that the house was much dirtier than I remembered leaving it - I had done a lot of cleaning before we left.

I put away the laundry I'd left on the couch and cleaned the dining room. I did some dishes but made even more cooking breakfast. I put away all the Christmas presents but have a huge pile of bags and tissue paper I need to fold up for next year.

I threw out five jars of jam I'll never finish eating.
Thanks for this!

This morning I tossed two expensive jars of lotion that I will never actually use. I threw out the color printer that costs about $10 per page given how quickly the ink evaporates. I packed away the gift bags and tissue paper I want to reuse next year and tossed some dead flowers. Yesterday I threw out some pieces to a chair I broke last year which I will never fix.

It seems sort of pathetic to post these things given how much mess and chaos is still surrounding me, but it does feel like progress.

I have to admit that my boyfriend threw out some expensive slippers he didn't like (which were barely used) and I pulled them out of the trash. I have no idea who I can give them to, but it seemed like such a waste.
Thanks for this!

I vacuumed around the bed last night. So now i dont have to tiptoe around it! It looks and feels pretty amazing. I feel bad that i probably wont be able to do EVERYTHING this weekend, but i can probably do a lot. If i get off the computer! I did my meds for the month already this morning. Maybe if i put some music on. Or eat something. I'll feel more motivated.

I bought some large plastic containers to organize my things in & get them cleaned & put away & stacked in some sort of seasonal order......

Dang those boxes are expensive. I didn't pay attention to the price until I returned another tool item for repairing my truck that I ended up not needing & the 2 large totes with wheels were both over $17.... It's expensive to get organized since I don't have any shelving or any closets set up yet either......so it's stacked boxes. I have found smaller ones that work well also at just over $5 but I wanted the larger ones for some of my things I want to organize together........started sorting & getting some things organized....it does feel good when I can finally see the floor again.

I felt so motivated this morning but it's been such a rough day here I got nothing done. I'll have to ask one of the food delivery people to take garbage down for me for a huge tip.

Angelique, I hope you're having a better day today!

I agree, those plastic containers are really expensive. I've made the mistake of buying the opaque ones because they are cheaper, but I won't do that again - it's such a pain not being able to see inside.

I ordered a cordless dustbuster a few days ago - Amazon had a sale and I had a gift certificate for Christmas. I hope I wind up actually using it! I hope you are enjoying those clean floors, Hankster

I am still finding the 'Does this spark joy' question very, very helpful when tidying up. So often whatever I am looking at does not spark joy - it sparks dread at yet another unfinished project.
Thanks for this!

Okay, I cleaned and organized my desk. I set out all my notebooks, pens, pencils and textbooks I will need for my classes and a spot for my laptop, plus the new bulbs for the desk lamp I ordered came in the mail yesterday and I got that all set up too

Happywoman, I am impressed!! Your productivity inspired me to pick up the dirty laundry by the bed and put it in the hamper and to clean off the stove and counters.
Thanks for this!

I organized my drawer using balsa wood to make dividers. It worked really well considering I was just using a box cutter and guesstimating. Here is the how-to link in case you want to make your own. C.R.A.F.T. # 72: Drawer Organizer-Part 2 - C.R.A.F.T.

Today one more shelf of kitchen pantry that's 11 out of 18.
Lots of pot washing
Packing my beloved dishwasher and continuing with clothes washing cycles

My husband is picking up some shelf dividers for my closet so I can continue to get it organized. I will have to get to work on it tomorrow.
