Doesn't it seem like there's always laundry? I've gotten rid of so many clothes, but maybe it's time to go through them again.

I had a discouraging morning. I wanted to take care of some tax matters, but I couldn't find the paperwork I needed. I started to go through a small pile of papers I'd been meaning to get around to, still couldn't find it.

The good news is that I got a lot of odds and ends done. I did eventually find the paperwork I was looking for, exactly where it should have been in a file folder.

I just feel really stressed and pressed for time on a permanent basis.
Thanks for this!

Dishes done, soup made. The aisles are legally supposed to be 3 feet wide, they are probably closer to 2-ish, but i can basically move around MOST of my apartment pretty freely. Like three fourths of it. Not saying its all being optimally used. But it feels pretty spacious and i really do notice a difference in my mood and attitude today. I feel much less harassed! Im kinda surprised.

A 2 foot path is much better than no path at all!

I did some dishes... yesterday? And two loads of laundry. I don't think I mentioned that I changed the sheets and put away the winter bedding last weekend, but that should count. I also bought flowers... and then sort of forgot to add water in time, so we'll see if they bounce back or not.

I notice a HUGE difference in my mood when my place is uncluttered, so it's really sad that I don't keep it that way.

I am almost motivated to get out of bed and do some tidying, but not quite.

Organized the sock drawer today. I did a pretty good job last time i org'd it, so i just had to remove some non-sock items, and do some straightening. Now i am ready to wash and receive the rest of my socks.

The next drawer to be worked on has a frightful number of incense sticks in it. I cant even remember what that was all about!
Thanks for this!

LOL, it is great to come upon a drawer like that because it's so much easier to toss it if you can't remember why you wanted all that incense in the first place.

I am thinking about doing another clothes purge today. My drawers are full, I have clean laundry on the couch, and I still am pulling out the 'nothing to wear' clothes because the stuff I have doesn't fit/needs to be repaired/don't like it. I have clothes for when I am fatter and clothes for when I am skinnier. This is so annoying.
Thanks for this!

I've been thinking about clearing the kitchen counter for the past week. I think I might actually do it at some point. I really need the space.

I'm getting my kitchen updated and cleaned out the spice cabinet the other day and found I could go into business as a salt mine? That and powdered mustard. Had 2 boxes of toothpicks (one gets lost in the back of a high shelf so I buy another?) and I threw both away and made a vow I was not going to "save" boxes of toothpicks between when I needed them, that I was going to declare myself rich enough to be able to afford toothpicks whenever I wanted them that I did not have to keep leftovers

I suppose you havent seen the bugs bunny documentary about how they make toothpicks? One tree yields one toothpick! i love my toothpicks! I bought a box fairly recently. It makes me feel very restauranty when i stick them in my tall sandwiches. And i recently used them to eat some sticky packaged chestnuts, yum!

Ha ha, I misread your first incense post. You have a good point

Angelique, I hope you can get the counter a bit tidied up. I still haven't taken care of my laundry or all the clothes I don't really like that much which don't fit anyway...
Thanks for this!

Lots of cleaning yesterday!

I swept out the sand from the entry way and some of the porch.
I swept the hall, kitchen, and dining room. I do not want to talk about how gross they were.
I washed the kitchen and dining room floors.
I put away winter shoes.
I threw out a white board I last used a year ago.
I put away a bunch of stuff that was lining the hall (where I put things when I walk into the house with something and want to set it down).
Put away the stuff from my eBay pile. It's been sitting there since October or November...

I feel pretty good about what I did last night.

I cleared off some of the things on the kitchen counter. Still has a long way to go but I'm glad I did at least that much.

That's awesome Angelique! A little bit can make a huge difference. I like seeing how just five minutes can make a space look a lot better than it did before.

I am so overwhelmed with the stuff I need to do around the house. I also feel like I need to sit down and make a chore list to split up with my BF. I'm getting annoyed again at how little he does. I feel like a servant or secretary.

Anyway, dishes, putting away laundry, doing laundry are at the top of the list but I don't have time...
Thanks for this!

I often clean and de clutter and organize because I don't want to do other things, things that I really need to do (like fix my finances). So my place is always neat and people think other areas of my life are organized too. Nope. Just the areas of my life that are visible. Superficial in a way.

It really *is* interesting how we can be disorganized in one way but organized in another. I'm good at creating systems and workflows, but my physical spaces are just trashed.

I got to the point of folding clothes last night but not putting them away... and already time to do another load - it never ends!

Oh boy.

My BF has been out of town. I wanted to have the house not just clean, but super clean when he got back. To sort of set a good example, if that makes sense?

I cleaned the first day, but it's totally trashed now. There is a lot of work to do and not enough time to do it...

Better get to it. I hope you are all being tidier than I have been.
Thanks for this!

I picked up a lot of stuff today. Last week I sort of decluttered my pantry. There's a lot more room. It's not that I threw stuff out - more that I just sorted things and organized them. It seems like I never work up the enthusiasm to do this until it's a complete wreck, but I am always glad I did.

I just had to order a months supply of bulky items like toilet paper and it's a big mess here. I don't know what to do with it all. My back hurts too much to stand around trying to organize. Last night I was thinking I'm really ready to leave the planet. There's nothing here for me anymore.
