@Blue_Bird Congratulations on all you're doing to take care of your teeth, it sounds like you have a great routine going. And i'm glad your dentist was able to fix your crown.

Didn;t brush or floss yesterday

I bought a couple extra tubes of Sensodyne toothpaste, and a new tooth stuff holder for my medicine cabinet. The old one was literally falling apart. This one looks beautiful, black with bamboo dividers. I dont like feeling like i am running low on toothpaste, my childhood feeling of "the stuff is more important than me and i mustnt use it up" makes me feel like NOT brushing my teeth means i am saving (my parents) money. Which was a lesson not well taught at all! Say very unevenly. Like penny-wise but pound-poor.

I have picked up my nighttime appliance. It is a night guard that goes over the upper teeth. It won't be easy to get used it wearing it. I will start trying tonight

Good luck with the mouth guard. For me it was like wearing socks to bed! But they work if you can work them.

I was able to fall asleep in the mouth guard at least three times (as some of you know, I wake up from hunger in the middle of the night and have to eat, and although typically it happens once a night, this past night it happened twice). I felt some discomfort when I woke up, each time, but that is OK. The important part is that I was able to fall asleep and stay asleep for several hours long stretches at a time.

That would be a cold day in hell for me, when i wear socks to bed! It has to be -20F. As the boys used to complain, it's like taking a shower with a raincoat on!

I wore socks to bed when my ferritin fell low due to blood donations. I was cold overall and especially could not keep my feet and hands warm. It is a typical symptom of anemia.

I do not donate blood anymore. Unfortunately my body doesn't rebuild iron reserves fast enough after donations. What a shame.
