I have changed the cadence of my subscription to floss (a pack of 6 boxes) on Amazon subscribe and save to monthly. I now go through so many yards of floss so soon because this new method of flossing whereby I cut one piece for each space between two teeth or around side teeth takes up a lot more floss than the old method of cutting a long piece of floss and going up and down or down and up with a piece of that floss, then moving to the next piece until I was done. I now have a sink full of floss segments by the end of flossing.
But that is OK. It is a small added expense considering how much of very expensive dental work this method is expected to safeguard. The dentist said that given how many crowns and other word are in my mouth, I need to use this much more careful method and not my old method. I still manage to floss at least twice a day. I listen to music during this time-consuming operation now.

One thing I've noticed, now that I'm brushing reasonably regularly as the itchy spot on my gums has mostly cleared up. It's still a bit itchy but noticeable better. I'm hoping that with continued work it will disappear altogether. |

I started using a timer while brushing to make sure I hit the full two minutes. That small change helped my teeth feel way cleaner, and it’s easier to stay consistent.

I used to dread cleanings because my gums would always bleed, but switching to a soft-bristle brush and brushing lighter helped a lot.

Want to Lower Your Risk of Diabetes? Brush Your Teeth More Often
I thought i might be getting better (lower) fasting blood sugar readings if i brushed at night, so i googled it. Im kinda too disorganized to control all the variables, but i will let you know if i ever do! Meanwhile, a reason to brush 3 times a day! ![]() |
