I actually didnt realise that not eating was classed as sh'ing. Since Oct 13 i have been on the new meds and I have no appetite at all and often my mum or my sister brings food around and they eat with me just to make sure i eat. grrr.

Have 'done' my back again with a knife coz i am stressing about lack of money and christmas approaching. I want to wake up on January 2, 2006 and not before.

I know you may not want to hear this but you MUST eat. A lot of times I do not have the will to eat but I make myself eat at least once a day on those occasions.

I know the holidays are really hard right now, but have you tried instead of buying gifts for your loved ones making them? I'm not the crafty type and have absolutely no money for the holidays either but I have to make do with what I have around the house and make things...

Just hang in there and stay safe. If you're having trouble staying safe, try keeping away from sharp objects, keeping busy, especially keeping your hands occupied. I know that helps me. I type a lot or play cards or whatever to keep my hands busy. Also, cleaning, even if nothing needs cleaned, helps too. Try these suggestions I'm giving you to stay safe, and if they don't work try getting out, taking a walk, whatever.

Tracylee,
I'm sorry you're having this kind of reaction to the holidays this year.

They have been particularly difficult for me as well. I tend to overeat, instead of undereat, when I'm stressed.

Well it's just four more weeks from Mon., til Jan. 2.

Let us know if there is anything we can do.

Are you not eating to punish yourself, or because you have no appetite? Just because you aren't eating doesn't make it SI...it depends on WHY you aren't eating, and the circumstances surrounding it. I hope you understand that eating is important to your body and mind. Not eating can cause severe damage! I hope you can figure out why you feel the need to punish yourself (if that's indeed what you are doing by not eating) and get the help you need and certainly deserve. Not eating again Good luck to you!
