I'm wanting to cut. I just want to make the bad feelings go away.

I'm sorry to hear about it. I don't really know what to say because I don't know what the bad feelings are. Cutting is not worth it. You will end up with scars and it won't help anything

dont cut Googley.
When i find those feelings coming no matter what is causing them, i need a cathartic release to make my self back in control. It is a very hard urge to control. Always though (more so nowadays), i am getting better at letting the emotions come and do their thing, bad ones too. I usually escape in to a fantasy world for awhile (film music or books), then when i come out i have forgot why i'm upset. It works for me at the moment. Hope this helps.

I hope that you are talking about these feelings in therapy. This is the only way to release them.

I'm sorry these feelings are overwhelming you. Just try to distract yourself from them...I think thats the best thing to do until you are able to work through them with therapy, and still be safe. I'm there with you though, and I have completely relapsed into cutting...and its just added more to whats already there. It helps in the moment, but then I have to deal with the guilt over it, and hiding it, and hating myself for not being strong. It's such a hard cycle, but I know you can fight this. |

![]() ![]() I wish I had something helpful to say other than giving hugs because I know how that feels. All I know to do is take it a day, hour, or even minute at a time if you have to. There's got to be reasons you made this thread instead of cutting, reasons you're trying to avoid it. Focus on those instead of the things that are making you want to hurt yourself in the first place. and you know I'm always in chat if you need to talk ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I don't know why. It doesn't make sense. We didn't even talk about anything hard in T today. But I want to. I want the release that it provides. I told T about the urges I have been having. But I'm not sure that I got across the intensity of them, or the frequency. Maybe I just want to show her that it is bad. That sounds so awful.

u may be physically alone, but there are lots of us out here who share the feelings you are feeling. T is giving me a special appt this week but i dont even think i can tell him i am thinking about SI. i already left a message about wanting to buy a gun. i am afraid he may lock me up. the only thing keeping me from SI is the fear of being locked up. its been at least a year and a half, but the feelings still come regularly. over the silliest of things. i jsut let the feelings pass by.
