Emailing my T--but that won't be an option for much longer. Playing with my dog or snuggling with my cat. Doing artwork. Taking a walk. Listening to music that's positive and upbeat. Acknowledging what I want to do usually helps me not doing it whereas suppressing it makes it worse. Thinking about the damage I'll do. All of these things help to varying degrees at different times.

Back to zero. It's okay. I made it 12 days. I know today and tomorrow are going to be rough. I just need to remember not to be too rough on myself.

Twelve days is a fine achievement! Good job!

You can start another good run!

What will make today and tomorrow especially tough?

Tomorrow I say goodbye via phone to my therapist of 10 years. She got MS and can't see me (or any clients) anymore. She allowed phone contact this Summer so I could find a new T which I have, so now it is time to say goodbye. This T let me email her between sessions which my new T hasn't, and that was really helpful with dealing with SH urges, so I have to get out my other coping skills and get back to not SH-ing so much. New T doesn't seem to have regular appointments, it's just whenever she can fit me in, so it's not as ideal, but I'm hoping as things get going with new T that the loss of old T won't be so strong. Right now it's horrible. I didn't want to SH because I wanted to honor the work we did together in a better way but in the end the pain and sadness and sorrow won out and so I SH-ed. I know I probably will SH tomorrow too but then after that I need to be strong and use my coping skills, and get back to not SH-ing for like a month at a time, where I was before. This hasn't been the best Summer for me in terms of SH, but it hasn't been the worst either.
