I want to, I am trying to fight the urge. Hopelesses, anger, depression, hurt, pain, racing thoughts they are all here plus more.

Do the 15 minute wait... This often helps me when I want to give in. Wait for 15 mins and see how you feel after that. Try and find something else to do in the time, something fun or distracting..... remind yourself that self injury is only temparary - and soon afterwards you will feel the guilt and the shame and then youll feel even more hopeless...

is it worth it??

BabyG gave some good advice. Do try to hold on ... maybe writing down your thoughts?? Sometimes it helps to externalize them, and then ripping up the paper.

something you use as many senses as possible.., gets you grounded faster... like walking barefoot at the beach... or walking in the rain... notice all the sensory things... like the smell of salt in the air... the feel of the sand... the feeling of the salt on your legs... the cold water...etc
