I am not allowed to express anger anymore, because I hurt all those around me when I get angry, so when I have feelings of anger I hide somewhere and cut myself. When I cut myself its like a big sign of relief, like everything that has been bothering me releases from my body, what are healthier things I can do to release my emotions without getting angry?

Exercise seems to be a good one... Its helped with me, because it gets rid of stress, you are using your enrgy into something rewarding (so its a bonus aswell), using your strength, and soon enough you are too tired that you need to relax...

Id advise other things that I do, but I usually HAVE to get my anger out! Exercise, sleeping and listening to chilled out music are probably the only ones I can suggest Hurting myself

Hi (((((((((Jeka)))))))))))

Both Candy and BabyG gave some good advice.

Do you have T or someone to talk to, and work on replacing the cutting with a more positive coping mechanism?

Be safe. You are allowed to express anger (even if your mind and other people say differently) but maybe you can choose to do something else instead of cutting or being angry at some people (even though at times, it's perfectly allowed).

What about punching a pillow, or getting some paper and ripping it into shreds? Just don't hurt yourself in the process.
