Still updating: Today, I took Sherman to the dog park. A friend called and we took a walk and had fun. I met another friend in the evening at a cafe and then we went to a Vipassana meditation group. The lecture and discussion that followed the meditation was great. A good day.

My do rights today have been, so far:

Walked Jack 1 mile! Did my PT exercises! Washed dishes.

Cleaned up my sewing room so I could be in a more organized area!

Sewed on my current quilt.

Now it's time to run to grocery store before the ice storm hits us. I need some new reading stuff plus a few groceries!
Thanks for this!

Had a good day playing with the kiddos. Got my laundry put away and the dishes done. Ran to target and got another seat protector so I can install the second car seat in my car.

Nola- RE: Recipes- I don't have any, really! lol. I do make some stuff up on the fly. Next time I do I will try and remember what I do so I can write them down and share...if they're worth sharing!

Today I feel pretty good about myself because I got two root canals done (yick), without any drugs beside novocaine or whatever numbing solution was used. It was fairly painless. The Xrays actually hurt most because I have a "short palate" and they have to use these one size fits all hard thingamajigs you bite down on, the second worst were the shots which took 3 minutes to do and lasted the whole procedure. I feel great now, and am happy for overcoming my fear and getting necessary work done before it got worse. I was able to calm myself mentally and with the distraction of podcasts (lifesavers). I now have a mostly healthy mouth and two fake new teeth.

Anyone who developed a fear of dentists a while back and haven't been since, try it out. Science has progressed. It wasn't nearly as horrible as it was when I was a kid.

Great job Alias!! Root canals aren't much fun, but sure do make a difference when they are done.

I looked outside and decided that it was a stay in side and do nothing but veg day. Snow is still falling about 1-2inches an hour.

I got up and went to see my T despite the roads which, contrary to reports were not clear and dry or even snow packed, they were ice. I did not flip out when I was in my car and found this out or at any point sliding around on the highway. I came home and took a much needed nap (day off from kiddo watching). I did miss my doctors appointment today but I will call tomorrow and reschedule.

Congrats to everyone for their do rights! I did a load of laundry and hung it to dry, which was extra work. I had to cancel acupuncture, due to the snow accumulation. Despite the plow, I still had a lot of shoveling to do. Walked Sherman. I did a bit of meditation and stretching in the a.m. It helped to start the day off right. I vacuumed. I can't keep up with the dog hair.

I haven't been good at writing my do rights as I've been fighting my negative thoughts. Congrats to all the do rights! Way to go everyone.

Somethings I've done right the last couple days - laundry, dishes (actually been doing them like 3x a week or more - that is huge for me), going to work, going to groups, working out in the mornings (I'd rather sleep - hehehe). That is all I can think of at the moment. Oh yeah and taking care of his royal fluffiness (the dog).

That is AMAZING!!!!!!! Woo hoo!!!! Well done!!!! ((((((((alias)))))))) I know you said you'd been putting off going to the dentist for a long time! I'm so glad it went well!!!!!!! You mean they didn't even use that "conscious sedation" you were explaining to me? Wow! That's awesome! My problem with dentists is that I really hate all that -caine stuff (lidocaine, novocaine etc). I honestly feel as though I am somewhat allergic to it. It makes me feel really unwell for hours afterwards (nauseated and really run down). And now, of course, I've built it up in my head to be even worse! But, in all seriousness, I really do think I have some kind of bad physical reaction to it.

Anyhow, sorry to take up space in your do-right!!!!!!!!!! I'm really happy for you that it all went so well!!!!!! Well done you!!!!!!!!!

Well done everyone!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, SO MANY great things everyone is doing every day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday I went to bed a bit earlier than usual. And today, if I sign off right now and go straight to bed, I will be earlier still!!! One of my goals is to go to bed earlier, but it's really hard!!! Anyhow, yesterday and today I am managing to get to bed a bit earlier so I'm hoping to build on that!

Hugs to all!

PS: (((((((lavie))))))) I can soooo relate to what you wrote here about "will I take the Neurontin?". I have so much trouble taking new prescription medications. I'm pretty sure I have a script for Neurontin (is it also called Gabepentin?) but I've never taken it. If you do take it, I really hope it helps

I did 1 drawing today. I haven't drawn in several months.
I didn't like the way it turned out, but I did it anyway and maybe I will do another tomorrow. They're always better after practice.

Yesterday - slept in a bit, went to work, went to my domestic violence treatment group (still getting use to that and it makes me VERY anxious - yesterday was my 2nd time), did the dishes, ate some leftovers, helped BF start to organize "his" basement (that is going to be a project!), played with the dog, chatted on PC, gave in a took a pain med.

I've only been up for like 45 mins so I'll have to report on today later.

Great job everyone!

Well done!!! (((((CSC))))) and ((((((((((suzzie))))))))))) That's awesome!

Well done all!!

I bought the new edition of Shambhala Sun magazine, which has some great articles about meditation and about mindfulness. I also found a great website called Mindfulness.org. I'm really wanting to focus more on meditation and mindfulness in my daily life so it's great to have these resources, new and old!

Hugs to all

I started my day with 15 minutes of meditation, which helped set a calm tone, and lasted all day!! I took Sherman to the dog park, where thankfully, he didn't encounter a bulldog or boxer (long story). It was good exercise, and there were friendly social encounters for dogs and humans. I worked on a sewing job.
