I was watching Oprah on Friday and one of her topics was daily affirmations. Do any of you do this? I've started to do this and it kind of works. The one I am doing is I am safe and no one can hurt me. I comforts me and I am somewhat able to relax after saying this over and over in my head.

If you do daily affirmations what are yours?

It's a kind of an affirmation. I've been doing EFT and the first part is, "Even though I'm _______, I deeply and completely accept myself.

I used to use the Serenity Prayer that way. I should do that again.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I learned this in the early 1970's when I used to meet with a college-age church group. I also put it to music.

I use the word "peaceful" and it reminds me to slow down, breathe and relax. I use it to help me feel safe and secure.

A good tip to enforce positive affirmations: Make them your pass phrase!
A pass phrase is a way to remember your password.

For example, the affirmation "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change" taking the first letter of each word in the phrase becomes this password: GgMtS2atTIcc!

Capitalize all nouns (like in German language).
Find a way for something to be a number. 2=to, too, two
gr8=great etc.

You can post your often changing affirmations, written out as a full phrase over your desk, but only you will know it references your password!

Hang in there, everybody!
