fear, hurt, panic, obsessive thoughts, did i mention fear, loneliness, wanting acceptance, needs that i can't fill, wanting physical touch, fear, tiredness beyond my ability to cope with it, listening to an asst manager eat out my co-workers, needs that i can't fill, wanting physical touch, fear, tiredness beyond my ability to cope with it, that my daughter treat me like %#@&#!, not eating, not sleeping, not drinking enough fluids and feeling so helpless because i can't fix myself[/b]

I agree with Ozzie, one step.
I had several rough days recently and I've had to remind myself of this, one step at a time. Yesterday I got better at getting water into me, today I ate better and got more sleep. I know all this sucks, badly, I can't say that it doesn't. I know it is beyond exhausting. We gotta take it one step at time, do whatever we can. Somehow having compassion for ourselves, somehow finding a way to soothe ourselves, speak kindly to ourselves. Somehow finding a way to get back into the rhythm of good self care. I have hope and trust that you will pull through this too.

So sorry for all that you are dealing with. I know in another post you said you were not seeing your T right now, but it really looks like you NEED too. Please call and get in there ASAP. You have been on such a rollercoaster for awhile now - Josh, daughter's pregnancy not going right, the poster here who really caused you stress, etc. You have got to take care of YOU Pat........ and we are here to listen and support the best we can. As pointed out above, please try to take one step today to help yourself, get some fluids in you, try some food, do something please !

So much happening with you right now. I am so sorry you have so much on your plate. I know how that can make us feel overwelmed to the point of confusion and making our lives feel completely chaotic. I agree with Parker. Perhaps it is time you called your T. parker10 and the rest are full of great suggestions. it also helped to see a list of things you've been dealing with.
![]() not sure why you're not seeing T right now but hope you can return to that soon. we had thought you'd mentioned that being helpful. when too many things are coming in at once we have to start prioritizing what we're going to handle and what we're going to let drop. we know you're excellent at figuring out what your priorities are so we look forward to an update later telling us what you did to take gentle care of yourself. as a daughter of a mother we wish we could offer more insight into the m/d dynamics but as we are still in the dark too! hard stuff these female connections within families. lots of therapy time for us spent trying to better understand and improve ours. wishing your daughter would shape up............then we wonder if someone is thinking that about us with regards to our mother! ![]()

for starters:
1. i've started dating a captain from the base here. much, much fun with him. 2. i'm re-decorating (or shabby chiccing the kitchen more) and i did a bit on it today. 3. i'm totally doing the work that i can do well, at the frame shop, and ignoring the little stuff that is always swirling around. 4. i still have quite a ways to go. but am sleeping a bit better. 5. T is out of the question right now. free sessions are over with. but i see pdoc right after Thanksgiving and we will be discussing the bi-polar group at the mental health center. 6. still in running for substance abuse counselor at prison. 7. am down one more size in my jeans. size 6 now. eating better. more protein. 8. animals are healthy. and fun. love my new convection oven. and the brownies that keep popping out of it. 9. am practicing more toughlove on the daughter and will probably go to San Antonio for Christmas and miss all of the drama here. ![]() ![]() ![]() 10. i am much, much less anxious than i was. just trying to take it one day at a time and discard what is upsetting and troubling. some days it's one hour at a time. 11. and the dear, dear friends here have all helped me and i am so gladthat i decided to tell some of my most anxiety causing problems. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

a big one! i had completely forgotten how good it feels to just hold hands...or get a foot rub. i could get totally used to this soldier. he came by tonight to give me a foot rub and then went on to a meeting. and i am definitely flying to San Antonio and go to a Spurs game and turn around and fly back.....
