AT 6:50 A.M. woke up, heart pounding, sweating, trembling. had had another bizarre dream due to the bleeping remeron. am tapering but i guess even a tiny bit of it triggers my dream mechanism. have to go to work and i wonder how that is going to go.
i took a xanax and laid back down til 8, but i'm still shaky and having weird thoughts. have 10 page test to finish tomorrow on conversions. cubic centimeters, millimeters, milligrams, drops, etc. so, for the first time ever i bought a calculator to check my figures. i figured that i might need it and guess what? i damned sure will. i can't concentrate when i'm shaky.......pray hard that this thing doesn't last 24 hours. thanks, xoxox pat |

Oh, Pat... I am so sorry. Deep breaths. You're generally kicking butt in your life -- this is a setback, but it's only temporary.
I got your PM. Will respond shortly. I haven't been online much lately. New project. ((( Pat )))

Those are the worst!! pdoc calls them "morning terrors" and many's the time I had to call out of work because of them. Finally had pdoc prescribe Ativan and they seem to work well. Praying this panic leaves and stays gone!!!!!!

Hey Pat -
I woke up this AM as well in a full-blown attack that required 2 Xanax's to stop it. Even now, i'm still 'feeling it' and have the shakes... NOTHING really helps this for me... I just try my darnest to breath/relax - which i KNOW is the hardest thing to do in these situations.... I ask you though- do you remember the contents of your dream? If you don't mind, expand a little on it so I/we have an idea of what was going on. Also, if you decide toshare this, let us know if there is any merit to the dream, i.e. this is a dream of something that happened in the past or if it is something unrelated to you and/or your situation.... Regardless hun - HUGS to you - and we're here for ya... Feel free to fill up my inbox if need be; I have NOTHING but time for this group!!! ![]() ![]()

it will be hard to tell you the dream. i was riding a horse down a dirt road and on the other side of the fence there was a huge anaconda in a tree. this snake was as big around as my waist. it was looking around intently and i assumed it was for prey. my horse was very scared and kept dancing sideways in the road. the snake never noticed us. suddenly the snake whipped it's head around (the head was SO big) and looked north.
i looked north and saw my dad, my brother-in-law and a family friend riding in that pasture on horses. my dad and the family friend are both dead. i knew that they were coming in from looking for cattle in the mountains. as they got closer, i tried to scream to them to go back. i couldn't get any words out of my mouth. i tried harder and harder to scream and no sound came out. they came closer and closer and the snake prepared to attack them. i still could not scream. i was waving and trying to get their attention. they kept coming. the snake got all of them. i woke up. |

![]() That is a horrible nightmare. It's really bad when you try to scream and nothing come out. Sounds to me like frustration going on in your life. A great deal!

LeeAnn, thanks. after going back and reading it, i'm able to cry about it. i've never had a nightmare that horrible.
i remembered something about my childhood. i would dream that i was going down a road and i would see my dad, lying dead, in the ditch. i guess a dream expert could interpet all of this. perhaps it is connected. xoxo pat |

Good going on the grades Pat. Kudos to you
![]() Nightime attacks are the worst imo. Man, it's always just when your on the brink of sleep too. How about Relaxing CD's? Bubble bath before bed?Just a few tricks of the trade that can "help" ease the anxiety a little. Panic attacks are the worst. I hate them. I'm sorry your going through this right now. ![]() |

Has anyone got any suggestions on how to deal with a panic attack when you are already in bed. I get so worked up and am not able to breathe- hyperventilating-so much that I physically can't get out of bed to try Jen's suggestions. No CD player in my room (or tape or stereo!), far too late to run a bath esp when sleeping pills should be taking affect... Unaware of anything other than the panic. Usually I end up exhausting myself and falling asleep like that. HELP?!?!
