hi I would like to know...I have been reading alot about my anxiety and found that caffeine was a stimulant I didn't need plus it was probably to blame for my heart palpitations. I drank about 3-4 cups a day, which was apparently to much. I have read that decaf was not good either and some reports say it can cause heart problems. Now I read that caffeine is good for your heart....so what gives I get so confused on this. I am really trying to overcome my anxiety and want to do the right thing. I have a big can of decaf plus a big can of the real stuff. I love my coffee, I know everything in moderation, caffeine or decaf?

I would stay away from all forms of caffeine. That includes decaf coffee, tea, decaf tea, sodas - both clear and dark, even sports drinks, boosting water, chocolate and a few other unsuspecting items.

If it's hurting your system, and causing you upset emotionally, why would you love it? I think you could work on this thought, and change your "want to" about it all??? It would be a good thing! TC!

Hi there. I love my coffee too. I have decaf on hand for the days/weekends I know I'll want to have a cup by my side all day.

I also have regular coffee on hand.

I will mix it according to what I think I can handle. I need a little caffeine, so I might start my day with a cup of regular, then switch to decaf (or decaf tea or water). Or, I might mix it half and half or a third regular and two-thirds decaf.

One of these days I'd like to get off it again. I was off for a while and was fine, once I got used to it. But when depression hit again I needed it, I felt.

Coffee is one of those things... one day the reports say it is the best thing since sliced bread... then two days later the next report says it'll kill ya. caffeine or decaf? caffeine or decaf? caffeine or decaf? caffeine or decaf? caffeine or decaf?
