hi i feel that i recently have become better at coping with anxiety, but that the feelings/thoughts i have when my anxiety surges( usually early in the day, towards when i go to bed) just get bottled up and are making me a more bitter and irritable person and i find myself being mean for no reason sometimes, im afraid (what else is new) that this will consume me...do you guys know of any healthy way to vent pent up negative emotions?

have you tried writing a diary, maybe a couple of entries a day, just to help get some things out of your system and then there is always here, or poetry

Hello CAT/DOG
I agree with the above advice regarding keeping a diary or Journal about how you are feeling, so you wont have to bottle up the feelings that you are having. Exercise also helps as well such as taking a walk in the evening after dinner to help release some of the tension you may be feeling. Chat is also available here at Psych Central as well, and it may help to talk to somone in chat when you feel like you need to talk to someone who understand what you are going through. I hope the best for you in the future. Take care Soidhonia

hmm alright i might try that... i tried excersizing once and i think the elevated heart rate and sweating made my anxiety worse, i had some pretty intense feelings of anxiety and depression afterwards... did anyone else feel this way then theye excersized at first? does it get better and soon turns into a plus?
