I had that bad panicky anxiety feeling I get in the early morning. I don’t think it’s work related. I think it’s just the anxiety about getting out of bed. I can be a bit lenient with my Ativan, so I took two this morning. It decimated the anxiety. I was still moody and the day wasn’t great, but I didn’t have any anxiety after 6:00AM.

I am anxious today over the fact that I wanted turkey for dinner, and I don't have any turkey

so, I convinced myself (or tried to convince myself), that I'm going to have chicken (breaded chicken)

think it's working now, but later I know it won't.. I'll flip.

on top of this I can't find the turkey I want anywhere (I have no idea who sells it)

I am now into week two of the new job. I am still anxious though today the worry is more about getting to work on time than the work itself. I am not sure why the nerves about it though as I always leave so early I end up there with 30 minutes to burn before I get on the floor. Dang anxiety. I should be able to enjoy the few hours I have today before work starts but no.

I can relate. I have cooking anxiety, amongst other anxieties. Do I have the ingredients? where are they? am I going to burn this? will it be done before I tire? etc. It's why I'm here today on this thread.

Making something I've made several times, but I haven't done it in months. Plus I'm adding a second dish and it needs to thaw and I need to prep it, etc. (anxious) I am practicing mindfulness meditation. (why exactly am I anxious) and trying to reason that I don't need to be anxious...also trying to just have a little faith. Oh it's not always easy when things are engraved in you, but this seems to help.

This is off topic, but I really want turkey for dinner this weekend. We looked at two grocery stores and can’t find one. I’m wondering if I won’t be able to have it. It was the only thing I was looking forward to this weekend.

Maybe Walmart would have it. You see it all over the place until you want to buy it.

raging vortex, Walmart has a 10 pound turkey for $19. I don’t know if you have a Walmart near you. They are definitely out of season though.

Today’s the first day that I had gnawing stomach anxiety issues since I started and stopped a new anxiety med last weekend. I think I’m partially controlling it just with more sleep and stopping caffeine. I wish I understood why I have this problem.

so a girl I talk to on email a lot, has suddenly vanished from the face of the planet

her address is dead, her website shut down, and I have no way of knowing what happened to her yet

I am trying to make enquiries though- and hopefully get somewhere

turns out that the girl I was worried about forgot to pay the bill for her space on the server

thank goodness for that. I did find it a little strange she'd just vanish

the calmness is over.

I have just put myself in a really bad situation that I didn't mean to do.

a complaint I made ended up in the wrong hands

I'll create a thread on it, but it is a worry

It wasn’t bad today at all. I did have that whole thought process of “are they talking about me?” But these people seemed to be genuinely nice and probably are.

A coworker said that it seems fun to be me because I live without any burden. Ha! I wonder how would he react if he know about my anxiety, my fear, suicidal thoughts, and painful experiences.

So I went shopping to look for the current side obsession, and planning to hopefully buy one. I wrote about this in this thread:
Nervousness over something stupid

Well I did feel a tinge of nervousness on the way there and a bit more when I was walking to the first shop that I thought might have them. It was just a bit of an upset stomach, but I managed to ignore that and just go and look. But they didn't have any. I went to many different shops and couldn't find any (there wasn't even any that were too expensive!). I was very disappointed because I came back without one.

At first I thought at least this was an improvement because I kept my nervousness in check. But now I'm thinking maybe that could have been because I didn't see any? I can't really say I'm over it, because for all I know, if I had seen any I might have been too nervous to even go any closer and wouldn't be able to buy one. This might happen yet in the future if I ever do see any anywhere.

In a way I just wish I could find them so that I know. Even if I do chicken out and can't buy one, at least I'll know I still have this problem. But obviously I have no control over what the shops have.

Just so frustrating!

I got a little worked up today.

so I was trying to ccall someone on the phone, and the numbers weren't going down like they should- and I ended up calling emergency services

I was so freaked out that they would probably track this number and ring back to see what I wanted (maybe even arrest me for wasting their time), but they didn't- and I could breath a sigh of relief

I'm doing better lately I started going to the gym again and it's helping me a lot. I'm sleeping much better and getting more hours of sleep; and I'm feeling less anxious during the day too.
