talk to your therapist and dont do anything drastic..but be releived it feels a lot better to be on the HIGH side, doesn't it? I miss those high times...... I got a lot out of them. The quizzes are there for a reason though, to prevent drastic things. post again & let us know how you are?

A really good time in a non destructive way? Or a good time as in when it is over you feel relaxed and better abuot yourself? When I have my outburst I always feel better and calmer. But then the guilt sets in and I get depressed. And I stay depressed for days or weeks and then it starts over again where something will happen, as in a small arguement with my wife and then I'll explode and rant and rave, either at her, friends, co-workers. Telling them exactly how they are inferior to me. Then I am calm and I feel relaxed, but embarrassed and depressed. The cycle goes on... sometimes I can go months without exploding or being depressed and then it happens again. I read in one of the topics that the weather may have something to do with it. I'm starting to think it does. I know in Feb. I ALWAYS cycle. And I'm starting to think that changing seasons has a lot to do with it. Even here in Texas where we really don't have a lot of changing weather, as compared to the east coast. My wish for you is a clamer state more often...

Hi Halliebeth,

Please tell your pdoc about your symptoms. Ask if what you're experiencing can be bp. I was the one who had to bring it up to my pdoc. She missed it for 3 years. (I have multiple dx's so I can see where she did.)

Good luck!

Jan

a Pdoc will ask you a lot of questions and may ask you to fill out a questionaire. she will evaluate the answers and use her impression of you to give you a diagnosis. it is a normal procedure and one that i feel is necessary. i was mis-diagnosed for years, by internists and GPs and finally got my correct DX from a psychiatrist. good luck! xoxo pat

Diagnostic just means that they want to determine what you're dealing with and how best to proceed....a diagnosis is just that....a conclusion drawn from testing....hang in there...stay as calm as possible and follow docs orders....love G
