The spectrum thing is that there isn't really solid cyclothymia-BPII-BPI but a continuum that includes these things and a lot of people who sort of meet the diagnoses but not quite. basically it's an "we're all different" thing.

120 pounds in three years. My new pdoc just switched me to Prozac , and Geodon. Hoping that helps.

Do you think there will every be a gene therapy cure for mental illness?

I do believe we will gain further insight and a cure will be found sometime in the future.

Do you feel physically stronger when hypo/manic?

Can't afford vacation...dream vacation, currently Iceland.

Do you wish you had been born in a different time and how it would have impacted the BP

I'm a big Trekkie so I wish I was born when space travel is a commonplace. I think mental health would be more interesting 100 years in the future.

Do you gamble?

Every so often, I have to be careful though as I could end up blowing a lot of money.

I have five
Typical Chinese character tat for queen on my right ankle (Regina means queen in Latin)
Matching tat with my bff on the inside of my left ankle of cherry blossoms and the Japanese character for friendship
Lotus flower on the inside of my left wrist
Happy and sad theater masks on my right shoulder
Scorpion tat on my lower back (I'm a scorpio)

The Japanese and Chinese characters have been verified and are correct

In the summer it does if I want to go into my pool and it's raining. Winter I love the snow but hate and love driving in it depends where I'm driving or if I'm just in a parking lot doing doughnuts.

How has pc helped you?

By far the two biggest things it has help with is, I now own my BP and don't try to pawn it off and "just" bad depression and having a support system.

Do you read books on BP?

Hope not.

Best book about (or written by) (someone with) mental health (problems) you've read?

An Unquiet Mind by Lori Schiller. Mostly my favorite right now because it is a positive portrayl of clozaril which made it easier to go on it.

Do you have trouble sleeping/getting manic when the summer sun comes?
