Positive Things I've done today #5

Went to pdoc. She is giving me Vitamin E for possible tardive dyskinesia, before she increases my Artane. Since I have dry mouth anyway, an increase wouldn't hurt.

Took a walk in the park. It's too nice for winter. Expecting a little snow tomorrow.

Will be making spaghetti for dinner. Have to try to not have too much. It's one of my favorite foods.

I hung out with my eldest son for a few hours. I also talked with a couple friends on the phone. Later, I will pick up my daughter from her boyfriend's. Then somewhere tonight I'll get a shower. Laundry is going. I want a nap!

Ordered my first pair of Dr. Martens!

Wow. I bought my first pair for $100 back in 1992. That was a lot. Have they gone up much?

I paid $130.00. The style is called Clemency; they are black patent classic lace-ups with the addition of a girly-girl heel. I'm so excited to get them in the mail in a few days!

- Ordered a used book on Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy for Bipolar (for clinicians, which is what I wanted)
- 20 minutes of coloring
- cooked borscht for 1 week (I have a huge plastic container for my soups and I eat a bowl of soup every day, without getting bored)
- cleaned the kitchen in the morning
- took a shower
- attention to hair and dress, scent, dental hygiene
- slept well

That's so cool. I ordered a weighted blanket back in December and it took 3 weeks to get here! (They are custom made). So I know how touch waiting can be!

Caught up with a very good friend. Listened to music and chatted then watched 'Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck'. Was great to have good company.

Did a little cleaning and a bunch of laundry today.

Got up and came to work. That's about the extent of what I can manage at the moment. Taking it hour by hour. Not depressed, but apathetic.

Same here bioChE...hot up and came to work, there is plenty to do that should keep me distracted from my mood but it doesn't seem to be helping. But I'm here and will do what can. I'm very slow mentally.

Walked one of the dogs in front of a neighbor's front yard, and yes, he has a present.

I clipped my dogs toenails this morning. It's been needing to be done for a while and I finally did it.

I had a long talk with a good friend about stuff that has been bothering him. He said he can talk to me about anything. I think he felt better after. (Being a therapist is not easy! lol)

I went to physical therapy.

- had a good 1-1 with the manager and told him about my occasional word finding difficulty (I am on Zonegran). He said these problems happen to him, too.
- continued developing the plan for my first book of fiction
- drank a ton of tea
- cooked eggs and bacon for breakfast
- made it to the 10AM appointment across the Bay
- did some work
- colored

I cleaned my bathroom today, which is kind of a big deal, considering how dirty and grimy I've let it become while depressed. It makes me a feel a little better b/c now I'm not looking at it going, I really want to clean that but I don't have the energy to do it.

had fruit for breakfast

got rid of some old clothes and donated them to a homeless charity (now my wardrobe looks pretty empty)

trivia challenge

uplifting music (at least for the morning, turned it off in the afternoon because felt depressed)

Got up, showered, came to work despite feeling like staying in bed all day. I'm here so I will try to be productive.

Gone to MHMR in hopes of finding a new psychiatrist.

Made a Dr appointment for this afternoon. Been in bed all day resting.

cleaned up the house and did laundry. settled back into being home. filled out paperwork for insurance coverage and got meatballs cooked for dinner. gave youngest a bath. now i'm exhausted.

- dialed into a meeting from home
- showered and washed/detangled my hair
- had coffee, "I love lemon" tea, and breakfast (buckwheat with milk)
- canceled an appointment when I realized that I would be too stressed out from too much to do
- Theraputty (a lot, given that yesterday night I was in an elevated mood)

I went grocery shopping. Didn't have to pick up much so that was good.

Also did 3 loads of laundry.

Got out of bed, got dressed and went to work feeling as if I could not cope with the world, but knowing deep down inside that I can
