Positive Things I've done today #5

Spent the morning with my parents (I had stayed over), chilled then saw a good friend for two hours, went shopping, walked to the beach for a long snorkel then ended with playing guitar and singing for an hour. After that I had dinner and watched TV. Great day!

Got up, showered, came to work. I'm not super productive, but I'm here and I'm trying, that's all I can do right now.

Met with AA sponsor and did 1st step. Facillitating N.A.M.I meeting tonight.

Handed over sponsor money to a local charity :-D

Took my daughter to an aquarium for her birthday. She loved it.

- had a meeting at 11 that went well and an afternoon appt that went well; was on time for both (a challenge)
- ate soup for breakfast and dinner (I eat soup a lot when I am stressed out) and canned peaches with hibiscus tea for dessert (yum... dessert once in a while is perfectly ok)
- planned important letters in my head
- washed dishes and loaded a DW (it only rinses and sanitizes); there are more dirty dishes, but it was an indispensable step in the right direction
- called the pharmacy to refill Ambien
- drank lots of tea

took a shower

clean clothes (well self explanitory)

had fruit for breakfast

I'm up. Need food. Cereal maybe. Good day.

Took my dog out for a nice long walk in the sunshine and warm weather (-5 here today, which is wonderful)

Mopped the kitchen floor and made dinner. Also wrote two poems.

- one hour in the swimming pool (a combo of walking in the water forward, backward, and sideways PLUS swimming)
- planning and doing major grocery shopping
- meaning to live a long life and enjoy it, including enjoying being an old woman when it comes to that point
- enjoying the weather - today is the first sunny day after a very trying winter

Went to work (against my will it should be noted) I had called in but no one would cover me grrr.
Made a sweet flower arrangement. Colored an awesome Mandela for valentines.
Replied to an email that resulted in making an appointment to see a friend next week.
Found a new music app for listening to in the car.
Made some nummy stuffed zucchini and peppers. With four cheeses no less!

Fiiiiiiiiiinally changed my bed linen, showered, had a good meal for dinner

I opened the drapes in bedroom. Natural light is flooding my room for the first time in weeks!

I really don't know where i've been for the majority of the day

suddenly 2 PM and I have no memory at all

Groceries bought and put away, dishwasher ran, ate lunch. Need to run vacuum. Trying a new recipe for supper.

Went to church and did a load of laundry. Making dinner here soon. Wrote a poem.

40 minutes fast walk with my dog

- met up with a friend who taught me the basic operations of my new camera (dad's gift)
- walked to Stanford campus to take pictures
- left important voice messages
- some important email
- life planning

Caught up with a good friend and his girlfriend last night. It was really fun and supporting. I ended up staying over cause I had a few drinks and didn't want to drive and got to sleep on the couch cuddling their beautiful American Staffie (dog). I miss animals so much since my dog passed away 18 months ago and I cannot have pets at the flat I rent. Today I am going to play my guitar through my brand new Fender 65 Delux Reverb amplifier. FUN!!!

Took my family grocery shopping

I took a bath, conditioned my hair, even managed to shave my legs & put moisturizer on afterwards. (All of those activities can be difficult to do when my depression, arthritis & fibro kicks up, but today was a good day.) My mood was better, so I started thinking about long-term career plans today. I feel better with a plan in place. I don't feel like I'm just aimlessly floating out in space with no where to go. And that's comforting.

Preparing the trip to Vegas. Too much to enumerate. Hopefully, I'll win it back.

Went to T, did some grocery shopping, defrosted the large freezer, and made dinner. Wrote another poem. I think I'll put it in the Creative Corner.
