I have been on Vraylar for quite a while now- 9 months? But at 3 mg per day. Just this past Wednesday it was increased to 4.5 mg per day and in the last month I’ve gained 5 pounds but it’s been creeping up on me for a while. My BMI is now 35! 😕. It didn’t show any weight gain in clinical trials but in real life it has. It’s the last med I can take- Over the last 20 years of taking psych meds, I’ve reacted to the rest or the Genesight test said I shouldn’t take certain other meds. I’m also on Gabapentin 300. My Pdoc said if this doesn’t work out ECT is my only other option!

I'm not unfortunately. I'm sorry. My antipsychotics are seroquel and loxapine.

Yeah I unfortunately can’t take either of those anymore.

I used to be on Vraylar. When I took it, I did not experience any weight gain.

@Moose72

I know you had urinary retention when you took loxapine (I believe), but what happened when you took seroquel?

Wow! You remember that? I am not sure as it was like 10 years ago but I think I gained a bunch of weight- like depakote and zyprexa.
