The diagnosis of BP2, was a shocker in itself, but realizing how cyclical my moods have been (looking back) most of my life.

So I guess the learning about me was how UNself aware I've been

Whats one thing you count as a strength about yourself?

Intuitive.

Do you typically get depressed on your birthday?

No. I save my big depressions for national holidays.

If you could have one thing to eat, served to you irrespective of cost, what would it be?

I would want a massive plate of buffalo wings- so big that all the chicken shops in the world would have to go on chicken strike because it's all been used for my wings

question: what do you think of christmas music

I despise it, makes me want to start screaming.

What's a food that you love, that you generally only eat at christmas time?

Homemade Christmas cookies, but I guess that's a predictable answer. As for other foods, maybe standing rib roast of beef or goose. They're very expensive main courses.

If you celebrate gift-giving holidays, do you enjoy gift giving? If you're celebrating Christmas or other gift-giving holidays, how far along are you in terms of finishing your shopping?

I love giving gifts. I am done with presents as of this afternoon. Yay!

Do you shop early or procrastinate?

Procrastinate for the most part. I usually buy a few gifts early and then put off the difficult ones (when I'm not sure what I want to get them) until the very last minute.

What is one thing you enjoy about the holidays, if you don't celebrate a holiday, then what is one thing you enjoy about December?

I like spending time with the family, and I like winter hiking more than summer.

Do you have any big plans/resolutions for 2019?

I try not to think about 2019 yet

let's get 2018 out the way first.. still a struggle

I honestly dread 2019 (I dread every new year)

it's always the same... promise of a new beginning, a new start, and it's exactly like the year before- ****ing crap.

how often do you exercise and how intense is it usually?

hardly ever.

walking at best- but not really exercise, just going to where I need to go.

ever since I twisted my kneck on the tredmill I've not really been that inclined to do it- plus I'm not one for losing weight- I'll leave that to the fitness finatics

what will be on your table christmas day. if christmas dinner, all the trimmings?, and if not, what will you have to replace it

This year my family will have a Christmas brunch instead of our usual Christmas dinner. Usually Christmas dinner is a major production, but for several reasons we all decided to make it easier this year. So far, I plan to bring very fancy open-faced sandwiches and a mess load of European Christmas cookies (my husband is Central European). My sister said she'd make an egg-based breakfast casserole and bring nice beverages. I talked to my brother and he is still thinking about what to make. We may add/adjust the contributions when my brother decides on his ideas.

My husband and I always have a special dinner on Christmas Eve, according to his Czech traditions. Traditionally in Czech Republic, they have carp, carp soup, potato salad (which is more elaborate than most American potato salads), and maybe a couple other sides. Those who hate carp, often eat breaded fried pork chops, in the style of Wiener Schnitzel. Sometimes I make a dish called Shrimp with Feta and eat it with a fancy greens salad and baguette. There are always delicious Christmas cookies. I may make 6+ varieties this year, if I'm up to it.

question:

how much time every day do you spend online

I'd say a couple of hours in the morning, and then a couple in the evening

used to be a lot more when I did RPG games, but I don't do them now (I either got banned, or my accounts expired)

if you were a best selling author and you had to come up with a debut novel, what would it be about and what would the title be

I would enjoy writing travel-related novels, but ones where I learned important things about life, others, and the world as a whole. The title would be nice if it included the words "bird", "dance", and/or "flight".

What fun thing do you plan to do over this holiday week, whether it be related to the holidays or something else?

in particular, " what child is this", my absolute fave carol.

how does this christmas compare to last in terms of the situation you're in

I don't remember too much about last year. I was stable over the break, and I'm not this year. I honestly don't even remember if I was taking any classes or working.

Q: Any winter sports you enjoy, even if it's just watching?

Not particularly. To each their own, but winter sports never held much appeal to me as a spectator or participant.

Do you have a favorite Christmas movie, and if so, which one?
