I now guess my psychiatrist realized that, too, since he kept my next appointment two weeks from yesterday. I now recognize some of his reactions and statements that were leading. Yes, he sometimes asks me odd things or flips in odd statements to test my reactions. I definitely reacted, but only now "get it".

Well, it's 4:30 am now. I have to go with hubby Philadelphia today for his eye appointment. Not now. At 1 pm. It takes about an hour to get there. I hate those appointments, but not Philadelphia itself. Maybe I'll go to one of the nice cafes nearby. I wish I could eat there. Instead, Hubby always wants me to quickly walk to the nearby Wawa for hoagies. I'm getting sick of hoagies! Not that I don't like them.
Good luck with your trip to Philly.

I hope you can knock yourself out of the hypomanic state soon. It must be frustrating to be told you aren't stable.

Have you asked your pdoc for a PRN med to knock you down so you don't crash?

Happy World Suicide Prevention Month, which continually makes me angry every year it comes around with the many people I see pretending to care. There are some who do and I am grateful for them. Makes me sick how others just don't give a **** about suicide prevention and only do it for some money grab. I'm not talking about on here. Other sites mostly. I am progressing into more irritableness and anger each day along with depression. Can't seem to get myself out of this hole I've seemingly dug myself in.
Sorry you're struggling.

I know it may seem like people pretend they care, but I think they genuinely do care. For example, I care about anyone on this site who is experiencing depressive or suicidal thoughts, even if I don't know them. I mean, I suppose it's technically possible that some are in for the money grab since I do not know any of them personally, but I don't think the majority of them are in it for the money. I think they care but maybe don't come across as caring? I think it would be rather selfish if people only cared about the money, and despite the fact there will always be bad apples out there, most people are genuine IMO. It takes a very sick, twisted individual to be in it for the money.

Just my opinion. I hope you feel better soon.

Morning y'all Bipolar check in #37

I'm just waking up. It's a lil after 7:30 here. I slept 7 hrs during the day yesterday and 8 hrs last night. The IOP T may not like that when she sees it. We have to document how much we've slept "since yesterday morning" on the daily risk assessment sheet, so I have to put down 15 hrs.

Even with the sleeping, I got my homework done though. I have class this afternoon, after IOP. It makes for a long day, but both are easy and semi enjoyable. The time goes by kinda fast.

Hope everyone is doing well and has a good day!

I had a long sweaty tossing and turning night of sleep with horrible and vivid dreams but I woke up feeling much better so the flu or cold or whatever it was seems to be mostly out of my system now.

Glad you are feeling better but the sleep thing sucks. Maybe you had a fever breaking?

Thanks, bluebicyle! I'm heading out soon with my hubby. I do have prn Seroquel IR I can take. I try not to take it unless things really look like they're escalating. I'll put some in my pocketbook.

Did get some sleep last night, broken and full of dreams but real sleep! One of my dreams was full of a mass shooter killing people I worked with, that I could have done without but overall I feel good. Yay for sleep.

I decided to buy a Roku Ultra 4K device because I was sick of the coaxial cable problem, whereby only 2 of the 3 coaxial ports can be active at any point in time. (One is being used by my router and the other is being used by my cable box in my living room.) Thus, I broke down and just purchased a Roku since I can stream Xfinity stuff on it over the internet and make recordings. Was $98 on Amazon and has expandable storage so I can record a crap load of stuff.

Should come tomorrow because I have Amazon Prime. Looking forward to setting it up.

For now, I've been watching stuff on my living room TV and on my iPad mini. I'm actually surprised it works on my iPad because I got it as a graduation gift in 2013 and I figured it might be "too old" to get the latest OS updates. (I needed a minimum of iOS 10 in order to stream videos to it from Xfinity.)

Anyways, doing well so far! I'm getting a lot of stuff done around the apartment and I'm getting stuff done at work. I'm just taking a break now because I'm running something on my work laptop that takes about 2-3 hours to run, so I can't use the laptop during that time. So, I'm cleaning up and using my personal laptop in the meantime.

@Nammu I mistakenly got on IH35 this morning... I got off after one mile! Headed over to Lamar. It was backed up all the way to Parmer!

There's just too many cars! I swear when I first started useing Lamar is was less crowded but it seems like many other people had the same idea. With so few roads going north/ south what can ya do? There's only 4 main ways to go north/ south and congress has downtown in the middle of it. Are they still talking of putting a tunnel under 35?

There's occasionally talk about it, but not much.

Wow! You are getting a lot done! I enJOY my Roku. It is older and does not have the all of the features you have mentioned (or if it does, I am oblivious). it might help if I would put an SD card in it.

Lately, I have been watching shows on my tablet at night because it gives off much less light in the room than does the big TV.

How is it going now that you have restarted the AP med?

Glad to read you are doing so well!

Sorry you have had such a difficult night.

Never knew they could take SD cards. Hmm. I bought a 500GB external SSD for its high read, write, and transfer speeds. 4K is a lot of data to push through a wire if you're trying to read from a device and then display it on a TV, so you need something that can push data through at a fast rate. Otherwise, you get frame stuttering and lag, and sound may be off. And you really do need a 4K HDMI 2.0 cord at the bare minimum for true 4K.

There are solid state flash drives you can get if you want something that provides SSD speeds in a smaller, more compact body, but they kinda suck at this point in terms of technological development in 2019. Lots of them are unreliable. Though if you have a 1080p Roku, then I wouldn't bother with anything more than an SD card. Not really needed IMO.

And yeah, I like tablets too.

I'm doing okay going back on my AP. I hate being on an AP, though, because I'm getting brain damage from it.

Hello to all!

I did not sleep very well last night. I have a lot going on and some days/nights are more challenging than others.
I don't have a very clear head this morning, which is problematic with all I have to do today. This is my second day of trying to catch up on paper work and calls.

Now that the SSA has seen their way clear to admit I exist and am who I say I am, they are also starting to investigate my claim, which is fine with me. There continues to be a misunderstanding which desperately needs to be cleared up! They are processing my claim as new claim, stating they cannot find any prior claim. My claim is quite old, has a very long history of approval and of payment of benefits. I have not yet been successful in getting this issue cleared up. I am still working on it.

What on earth is going on where a governmental agency like the SSA cannot find any record of a claim which was approved and was paid for many years?
I have also lost Medicare, according to them, and will have to wait for the "waiting period" to expire again, which is a 2 year waiting period. I have already completed my 2 years long, long ago!
Ihave faith this will eventually get sorted out. I will keep working on it! I will enlist the help of a disability attorney if need be.

Despite my very foggy head, I intend to get things done today.
Love ot All

Yes, this is an old Roku. I have 2 in the house, even though I think it is possible to use one for the household. There are 3 floors here and the units are 2 floors apart. Yes, the old Rokus take SD cards.

I am glad you are doing so well!

It would be great if the drug companies could find an APwhich did not cause such scary side-effects.

I am starting Enbrel this weekend for Psoriatic Arthritis. It is supposed to stop, or slow down, any permanent joint damage.I have put this off for 2 years because of the potential side-effects, which are many and include conditions like "lymphoma." My rheumatologist says she has neve known anyof her patients to get lymphoma from Enbrel, despite the warnings. This does not really reassure me as I am so often her one patient that has something unusual occur in regards to treatment trials.

Anyway, things are getting bad enough that I am wiling to try it and see if it helps. If it helps, then I will have to decide whether or not to continue it and take my chances. If it does not work, then the decision is made.

I guess I have mentioned this to affirm the fact that many meds have some potentially severe side-effects and it would be most helpful if meds could be helpful without so many potentially serious side-effects!

I guess we will all keep doing what's best for our daily functioning for today and worry about tomorrow when it gets here?

Sounds like SS assigned you a new number and therefore can't find preexisting info on you. I'm glad your taking this so calmly I'd be very upset to lose Medicare. I was very pleased to find out my QMB covered my eye dr appointment bill and that all I had to pay for was glasses. But Medicare is my main insurance. What a pain in the patooty.

WC, you are pure inspiration. I mean that very sincerely. I would have lost my **** a long time ago dealing with what you have. Heck, much less than that would do it! You are a strong and amazing human being and don't let anyone ever tell you one iota differently!!

Best of luck in getting it all straightened out. It's astounding the bungling...

HI!

Well, it helps that i have additional medical coverage through my H's coverage. However my access to that coverage is going away soon.

I need my disability income and my medical benefits more than ever now.

The thing is: They do use my SSN. So where did the records go?
Where is the claim info? Where is the record of payment to me?
Don't they keep record on this stuff?

There seems to be no avenue by which I can appeal this idea of processing the claim as a new one. There is an appeals process for outright claim denial, but mine is now being investigated for approval. I may or may not be approved. Imagine that one! Even if I am approved, I still need to get this all straightened out.

I think I can get bank statements showing their direct deposits.
They should have records of having paid medical via Medicare..
What has happened to my Medicare info?

It is scary that so much info is collected by the government to begin with. Then they let their computer programs rule the world! No thought that information their computers are spitting out might be wrong.

They also claim they have records of me working when I was not working!
After all of these "mistakes," you'd think maybe they'd start thinking something was very wrong with their records? Yet, who gets paid to realize this and paid to handle this? The positions seem to be so compartementalized that nobody can/will reach out beyond the scope of their job description and help to get this resolved.

Enough on this happy stuff!

I will keep working on it and will contact a disability attorney if need be.

Thanks, Nammu!

I've been enjoying a game on my Xbox 360, Assassins Creed 3. Pretty much just relaxing till tomorrow cause I'll have to walk to the laundromat to do laundry.

I walked a lot. Might take another walk soon. Getting ideas for desserts to make
