I had a very part time job as a ESL and ASL tutor and hand delivered to SS my new info. Then I was let go as the last hired when funding was cut. SS claimed I never let them know and want to cut my SSDI even tho I didn't make over the allotted monthly income. I went in person and the person I talked to said oh you reported to the wrong compartment! Thankfully she was nice and cleared it up or I would have been on the streets losing my only income and health insurance. I think it helped that I had a copy of the letter I gave them. They also wanted me to pay them the amount of money I earned! She took care of that too! I think it helped that I used an ASL interpreter and had that as a third party witness.

Now that the SSA has seen their way clear to admit I exist and am who I say I am, they are also starting to investigate my claim, which is fine with me. There continues to be a misunderstanding which desperately needs to be cleared up! They are processing my claim as new claim, stating they cannot find any prior claim. My claim is quite old, has a very long history of approval and of payment of benefits. I have not yet been successful in getting this issue cleared up. I am still working on it.

What on earth is going on where a governmental agency like the SSA cannot find any record of a claim which was approved and was paid for many years?
I have also lost Medicare, according to them, and will have to wait for the "waiting period" to expire again, which is a 2 year waiting period. I have already completed my 2 years long, long ago!
Ihave faith this will eventually get sorted out. I will keep working on it! I will enlist the help of a disability attorney if need be.

Despite my very foggy head, I intend to get things done today.
Love ot All
I wish they'd get their act together already at SS! You don't need this, WC! Hugs

HI IZ!

Thanks for your feedback!

I try to persevere. I don't want them to prevail, since they are wrong/mistaken!
I have heard of a lot of major issues people have had with the SSA, for a variety of reasons, but had not yet heard of this! I cannot imagine I am the only one. I am not that special! LOL!

I will do my best to not only resolve this for myself, but to at least make a dent in it for others, if at all possible.

It is extra trying right now, with the separation/divorce and so much else going on. I don't have a choice but to do my best to resolve it.

Your comments inspire me to continue to "party on" with the SSA and any other agency involved in this mess!

I want you to know I think the same of you, IZ! You have been thorugh a lot and have done a lot to get yourself in a better place so you can enJOY life. You have mindfully pushed through very challenging times! I admire you!

I'm glad to be back home from Philly! Luckily, hubby's eye is doing a little better this month. He didn't need the injection. I can't imagine having to have an injection in my eyeball

As usual, hubby wanted me to go to Wawa and pick up some hoagies. I just didn't feel like one. I bought him one, and waited with him as he ate it in the waiting room. Then, I must confess that I went across the street to a cafe for myself. I had a nice slice of quiche with a little side salad, a glass of wine (it was lousy so I didn't finish it), some coffee (brought 1/2 take out for hubby), and a mini apricot fruit tart (brought hubby half). Yea, I spoiled myself. I did feel a little bad doing this to hubby, but I couldn't stand the waiting rooms. They were like Penn Station in NYC at rush hour. If you've never experienced that, it's quite the madhouse!

Next Tuesday afternoon, I have an appointment to meet with the Director of Operations at my local NAMI (National Alliance On Mental Illness) chapter. I'm going to discuss volunteer opportunities. I told her that I'm not interested in the HelpLine, but there are other options. I didn't realize how far away they are. They used to have a location that is much closer to my house, but they recently moved almost twice as far. That's a bummer! Anyway, some or all of my first volunteer assignment will be much closer. They are having an Autumn Wellness Conference in a town that's only half the distance from my home.

I once briefly volunteered at the above-mentioned NAMI, at their old location. I had to quit somewhat abruptly because of severe anxiety, and then a mood episode. I told my psychiatrist, yesterday, that if they wouldn't forgive such departures, who would? He agreed.

So my left lung is still wheezing so I needed a chest X-ray and adding one more puff of Symbicort on top of my am and pm dose. She isn’t wanting me back on steroids unless we don’t have another option because it’s kicked my BP sideways

We discussed my feeling just so ill, long story short, full labs next week, also specific testing for vitamin D level ( I have taken supplements for a decade) and B12 etc.

There is a slight change in my EKG , so she wants a Holter monitor. I told her it’s difficult to know if I’m having chest pain or anxiety.. I have had tachycardia for years, it can often run 120-140 either up and moving or not, it was 118 -120 while we talked, I have no white coat syndrome , so it was what it was.

So once all this is done it likely I’m going to see a cardiologist for further testing....

Hugs everyone... I’ll try and come back later and get caught up here.

Still feeling well. This is a new record for me. Bit bored. Was going to go for a walk but it’s already hot. Can’t believe I’m hot and spring has only just started.
My pdoc is going away for a month. I’m only one of a few patients that has to see her offsider in her absence. I’ve got a track record of getting sick every time she’s on leave. I hope I can stay well.

I had to do a holter monitor... That thing was annoying. Have you done one before?

I have tachycardia also, for no apparent reason... It's just usually always high.

Hi all! I hope everyone is doing well. I have missed you all! I come back and we are already in a new room; then again I have been gone for almost two weeks on an vacation. The vacation was very interesting to say the least; but M and I enjoyed ourselves so much we booked two more cruises for next year. That was a fantastic vacation it was so hard to walk off the ship and call that the end of the vacation.

I don't go back to work until Monday; but I do have a million loads of laundry to get through, I need to go grocery shopping; plus I need to organize my closet for the upcoming fall season. Back to the normal grind; time to count down until my next vacation.

I had an incredible 25th birthday; next week will be my 1 year at Psych Central and then in October I will be celebrating a year at my job. Lot's to celebrate lately with my health and just life in general. This is certainly a very memorable year for me.

I missed all of you and need to catch up on what is going on with everyone.

Hugs to everyone

Oh dear I am so sorry you are having issues yet again. Sorry your heart is being wonky. I hope the Holter monitor goes well; I still remember how uncomfortable mine was. I hope you get to feeling better soon. How is your husband fairing?

Yes I have had them before this is probably my 4th or 5th time. I try not to get annoyed about it, but when I roll over on it and wake up, yes annoyed

BirdDancer I’m so glad your husbands eye appt went well ! I would have picked the cafe over Wawa too !

Nammu... have you ever tried Doxepin? It’s a AD Tricyclic but it’s used for insomnia and sleep disorders. I was on it for a couple years and found it helpful. I didn’t have any bad side effects. Not sure if you have tried it before. I wish I could take away your nightmares.

WC You have the patience of a saint !!!!!! A legit saint! I hope that the idiots can get there shyt together and keep it that way

I’ve had to do holter monitors. I find them annoying too at night and sweaty in the middle of summer.

Not feeling great physically, but could be worse, and hoping to turn it around. Just kind of fatigued and joints feel flared up which has me discouraged about the whole running thing and feeling quite blah in general. Having a bit of a hard time cognitively which is making work more of a challenge, but just going to keep on keeping on. Hope everyone has a great day!

Have you thought about biking? Maybe not a bike itself if you don't have one, but an exercise bike? The impact on your knees from running is far greater than the impact on your knees from cycling, so in theory, you shouldn't get as much of a flare up from cycling, although admittedly, I do not know how bad your flare up is and what movements are most painful. Just a thought, though.

I haven't been keeping up with a lot of posts here, so I can't tell if you have a gym membership or not, but I think an exercise bike might help.
