I don't think the increase is dangerous at this amount. I can measure my BP a few times per day to monitor.
I Am sorry you continue to have symptoms. Sounds very uncomfortable. I hope you feel better soon.

Wild Coyote and fern.

Fern, I actually slept quite well last night with no bout of "racing heart". I was quite tired when I went to bed. It had been a long day. I didn't take the extra propranolol, nor did I take Ativan. Only my usual evening medications.

I've had a headache all day today, but I am sure it's sinus-related stuff and the weather. It's a miserable rainy day. My back hurt a little, but that has since eased up. I did a lot of chores and worked up quite a sweat, but I feel good at what I've accomplished already today.

How are others doing, physically?

I don't know what's wrong with me. As I said in the check-in thread, I've been having liquid diarrhea and going to the bathroom a lot, and I have no idea why. I've been eating dairy these past few days and that's it. (Yeah, I know dairy everyday isn't healthy, but now I am suspicious...) I'm afraid that I might be becoming lactose intolerant...?

I haven't left my place since Saturday, and that was to do contactless grocery pickup from Wal-Mart. However, I used lots of hand sanitizer and even wiped down all of my groceries with medical grade sanitizing wipes when I got back, so I don't think the groceries or Wal-Mart gave me a bug. And the last time I was out before that was on Wednesday last week to get my meds, but I went through the drive thru and again used lots of hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes.

My aunt has lactose intolerance pretty badly, so it does run in the family technically. That's why I'm not ruling it out right now. But I'm going to try eating NO dairy tomorrow to see if that helps. (I hadn't come to the realization it might be dairy until after I ate some dairy this morning.)

The body can often move into rejection mode when we we eat in an imbalanced state. It serves as an indicator we aren't getting enough of something or that we are taking in too much.

Eating too much sugar can have the same effect you are experiencing. The body draws too much water into the bowel to process what it percieves as waste. Too much lactose, the sugar in dairy, can have the same effect.

My guess would be that you are not intolerant. You are imbalanced. If it were me, I'd work some grains like oats in alongside some fresh fruits and veggies. I know you're not a big meat eater, so maybe try dairy as a protein source along with other foods and see how that goes.

You tend to eat one main thing at a time. Before it has been pasta focused. It is dairy at the moment. Maybe set a goal to round things out each day or better yet, at each meal.

I hope you feel better soon!

I'm starting to have adrenaline rushes. If this persists for 15 more minutes, I will have to take some PRN regular Seroquel.

Update: I decided to do some gardening and chores. Hubby then helped me take the tarp off the deck furniture. That sort of helped in place of the PRN. I need to clean the deck furniture.

So sorry about the pain raging vortex. Back pain can be terrible to endure. Sending supportive thoughts your way if you're open to that.

BirdDancer, how is the adrenaline now? You've been on my mind.

Wild Coyote, have your injuries from your fall healed? I know you experience discomfort regularly to one degree or another, but I am hoping the added pain from your tumble has resolved.

I'm doing well physically short of some itchy eyes and discomfort due to all of the pollen. I've had a good week activity wise. I've.incorporated more yoga than usual because I felt like my focus on strength and burning calories was imbalanced. Paying attention to the flow of energy through body is also important.

My eating has been pretty great. No takeout or fast food and tons of fruits and veggies. Also, we've been focused as a family on only serving what we need and not wasting anything. Our food supplies are going further as a result. That makes me feel good!

Hugs to those who want or need them. Let's continue to support each other in mind, body and spirit during these unusual times. Thanks to you all for being here with me. It means a lot.

Thanks for asking, fern!
I am happy and grateful to hear you and your family are doing well.

BirdDancer, I am sorry you have been having a challenging time. Did I read you were up last night and thinking about blueberry waffles (or pancakes)?
I hope you feel better asap!

The human body 's ability to heal is just amazing! I have a few more skin surface injuries healing. All else is healed, it seems, except for my neck.
My neck is not as serious as it could be. It is still bothersome however.

I am still counting my blessings. I was very, very lucky!!! I am grateful!!!

I have had narcolepsy off and on for years. I have not had it in awhile. I am having a tough time with it now. I fall asleep even in the midst of reading and writing a post. I fell asleep 3 times while writing this post. It is difficult to read/understand more complex info when I cannot follow the flow of info without repeatedly reading the parts I have already read and try to piece it all together.

If I write a fragmented post or PM, you will understand why I have done so!.

Love to ALL

So I just got back from the ER. Around 3:30pm I bit a growth on my lip and it started bleeding quite a bit and wouldn't stop or slow down no matter how much/how little pressure I put on it. Doc at the hospital tied it off and the bleeding stopped. They want me to follow up with an oral surgeon so I'll call tomorrow, but I'm not sure if I'll get in. Also coronavirus scares since I was just in the ER...

ragingvortex, I hope your back pain has eased.

fern, I hear you about allergies. Perhaps we'll get some relief soon. I don't know if weather affects yours, but it seems to affect mine. I wish I could eat and exercise like you've been. It's been extra tough for me lately.

Wild Coyote, my husband has struggled with mild narcolepsy most of his life. Luckily, his employer doesn't hold it against him when he nods of at his desk several times per day. I think at home it's not as bad. As for my desire for waffles, that next morning I made a Dutch Baby with blackberries. That's also yummy and easier to make.

bluebicyle, that's nice you have weights to work with. I haven't done weight training in ages. I know its benefits.

spikes, that sucks about your lip. I hope that heals quickly. I don't blame anyone for dreading going to the ER or any doctors office right now.

My sleep has improved a bit, but I still wake up hungry in the middle of the night. I can't help that, but should plan for lower calorie snacks. The past adrenaline bursts have subscribed these past days. My mood is pretty level. I hope it remains level with energy. Another upswing could be possible, though.

I’ve gradually started eating less or not at all and I’ve lost my appetite. Food is not appetizing to me. I can really tell in my energy levels. This was not my weight loss strategy. It just happened. I think I’ll start with a healthy smoothie each morning and a balanced dinner to get back on track. I need to up my exercise game as well. I’m going to dance and do yoga. Besides being extremely fatigued and having nosebleeds, I’m doing well.

This morning I feel sedated by my morning Seroquel XR. Also between the weather, my husband's and my situation, the pandemic, and the continuous calming of what was a growing mania, I'm lethargic and slow thinking.

My sinuses are congested and my ears are feeling a bit clogged. I'm used to that happening from time to time, but it's annoying.Yesterday, I had an odd pain spot in my back, but that has seemingly gone away.

I'm going to finally get up and make myself more useful by cleaning the deck furniture. I did take a shower and wash my hair, this morning.

This is ridiculous. My therapist strongly recommended that I start working out everyday or at least a few times a week, so I was going to buy some more workout gear (as I currently only have two sets of dumbbells and a single jumprope), but I guess every person who has/had a gym membership is now buying out all the home workout equipment. Practically none in stock anywhere or the shipping is 14-21 days.

After about an hour of scouring the web, I managed to find a 15lb kettlebell and 8lb medicine ball on Wal-Mart's website, and found a pull up bar from Target. Probably not the greatest quality if they're being sold by Wal-Mart and Target, but I know how I am -- I will get bored of doing the same thing and want to switch up the exercises. That's why I stopped with weights.

Again, I'm sure the quality is kinda crappy and thus these things may not last long, but I can always buy better quality stuff if/when this stuff gets too worn out. I expect these things to last me at least a few months. (I know that's not saying much. lol.)

The damn kettlebell was $42 and the medicine ball was $27, both with "free" shipping. I know that elsewhere, I could get these things for cheaper, but it is what it is. Now all I need is an exercise mat. I guess I'll be stuck with the really crappy ones (like $10 and under) or the really expensive ones (which apparently are $120 and higher). Maybe I'll just buy two crappy thin ones and stack one on top of the other.

@bluebicycle Yes, equipment prices are a total sham. I only have a couple of free weights and then just use my own body weight as resistance. I'm sure I could benefit from a few more pieces, but I get by. I had an awesome mat, but my dog thought it looked yummy and shredded it

I've been walking a lot more now that the weather is nice and its the only time I'm away from the house except for the occasional store adventure. We have walking paths in my neighborhood and plenty to look at, so it is a nice experience. My kids have been going with me, so I haven't been moving as quickly as I'd like to, but we are having fun together. We had several ducks chase us down looking for food yesterday. They thought it hilarious. There was also a daddy goose watching us to make sure we didn't get to close to the mom sitting on her nest. We stayed far away. Angry geese are scary.

The pollen has eased a bit, so we can sit outside and eat our meals. That has been a lovely change. We have a creek and woods behind us and we see deer and all kinds of animals when we are quiet and observe. Also, the blue jays are back. I have a window feeder and it is fun to watch them fly in and out all day. I also enjoy the cardinals. The finches are cute too as they usually feed together with their mates.

I hope everyone is having a good week physically. Love to all.

Sorry to hear about your dog shredding up your mat.

I'm trying body weight exercises too (e.g., squats, lunges, etc.), but they're kicking my butt. lol. But no pain, no gain...

I did manage to find a 3lb dumbbell set from Target and it's coming to my apartment.

I realized that I can actually do a lot of exercises with what I have. I never realized it until I started talking to people on Reddit. I never thought about taking a 5lb weight and an 8lb weight, and crossing them over each other in an X shape. Then you can grab the weights in the middle to get to 13 lbs... which is good for me because I'm using a fitness app that wants me to do lunges with 12.5 lb weights (so 13 is close enough).

Anyway, i want to do some walks too. I haven't done any yet though. Yucky rain here... Sounds like you had a g great time.

I walked yesterday and today in the lovely weather. What with walking more and eating less I've lost some weight. Forty pounds from my highest. Recently, its about 10 pounds, though. I used to have free weights but I don't know what happened to them. I think I'll ride my bike in the summer. We shall see. Its at my mom's as I don't have a garage and she parks in the garage so its not always easy to get the bike out/down.

@bluebicycle that's a great idea to cross the hand weights! Never thought of that.

Yeah, that's what I like about Reddit -- lots of people are having difficulties finding workout gear, so people are coming up with all sorts of clever ideas. It's worth a look if you're interested.

Here's the link: Fitness

If you have an account, you can ask for tips here: Daily Simple Questions Thread - April 04, 2020 : Fitness

Anyway, glad you had a nice walk. Congrats on losing weight!

I'm going to ride my bike this summer too.

I got the lump on my lip removed today, doc said it was a traumatic fibroma. I have some stitches there now. Just happy to have that off my lip.
I've been doing yoga lately. No weight loss yet but I've been doing only 10 minutes a day to work myself up. I have to be careful with my sciatic nerve though.

I overate this past weekend which left me feeling sluggish. Damn. I feel better when I under-eat...in these conditions...so have now started it again. I am sure I will feel better in a few days.

I was going to take long walks but actually we are coming into allergy season and I have recently been diagnosed with asthma so I am going to exercise inside - set up weights, yoga mat etc. and maybe just make a corner of my apartment a mini gym.

I have been using a blue light box and it has been having the effect of both energizing me and relaxing me. Someone sent it to me as a gift. Really cool gift!

I am doing the same thing with making a section of my apartment a mini gym. I have weights and now a mat. I don't really have the space I can dedicate to working out though, so I have to clean up after every session, but it is no big deal for me.

Good luck with your mini gym setup.

Hmm...I will have to be careful not to trip over my weights at night! I have a very small apartment...it is amazing the crap I have crammed in here. I have to put my mat in the closet, too. Do you have resistance bands? I know you can order them online and they are pretty cheap. I got a set for under ten dollars for several bands in a storage bag. Yes, good luck to you, too! Let's get started and report back how it's going. Mini gyms in mini abodes are cool!
