I just put gas in the car. Now we are set in case the gas stations are closed. Problem is, N3 can't get his paycheck until tomorrow but the credit union is likely to be closed. They sent an email saying which branches are closing, but if they are part of the lockdown, then we are going to have a problem paying bills.

I don't know what bank you're using, but lots of banks have mobile apps that let you deposit checks via phone. You just use the app to take a pic of the front side of the check and then use it to take a pic of the back side of the check after N3 has signed it. Then it takes like 3-5 business days to get cleared and deposited (at most banks).

Search the Google Play store if you use android, or App Store if you use iOS.

I just took a shower and feel refreshed! However, my eyes itch! It remains to be seen whether or not they are glued shut tomorrow morning. If they turn pink, I'm to use the antibiotic. But first I'm to use an antihistamine. Both are drops.

Oh I found a CD of N3 singing when he was about 9! "Lullaby" by Billy Joel. I thought I'd lost it. That's basically the same age as in my sig. pic.

Here it is on Youtube!

Hope your feeling better soon
Thans very much, Christina. Yeah, heart rate is low, as usual, normal sinus rhythm. Nothing in my jaw, but I do have to honestly admit that, last night, I definitely was feeling some weird tingling and numbness in my left wrist and hand. No doubt about it. That has gone away.

You're right. I should stop trying to do this myself. I am the patient. I'll call. Probably do need an EKG, at the very least. Just because I can ride my bike 100 miles doesn't really mean a thing. Heart disease is everywhere.

Anyway, as you probably know already, younger people tend to get coronavirus very mildly and don't experience really bad symptoms, so they really don't care if they get it or not. (In fact, there are lots of news articles about college students taking spring break in Florida in hordes of literally 50-200 people.) They don't see the big deal. But they really need to be taught the importance of being safe because they are seriously risking the health of people who are 60+ or who have compromised immune systems (e.g., due to a medication, a health condition, whatever). Ask him how he would feel if one of his grandparents got coronavirus (if they're still alive) or if someone in your family with preexisting conditions like diabetes got coronavirus. I bet you he would change his tone.
There are some major myths around.
One is about young(er) people. I am not countering what Blue is saying here; I am adding to her info.

Gov. Cuomo warns: 54% of cases in New York State fall between the ages of 18 y.o. and 40 y.o.

Food for thought.
Love to All!

When I had my nasal surgery, I was supposed to sleep on my back with my head elevated, but I normally like to sleep on my side, so I kept rolling over. To solve this problem, I just built a wall of pillows on either side of me, so when I did try to roll over, i was hitting the pillows and it reminded me not to do that. Eventually, my body was "trained" not to roll over.

Also, I can imagine that with his contusion, hitting pillows would hurt a lot less than hitting the bed with his back.

The trick is to pinch the pillows underneath you so that they don't move when he rolls onto his back. If he does start to roll onto his back, he will feel a soft lump that will remind him not to do it.

Just an idea that worked for me. Also worked for me when I got my wisdom teeth out.

Anyway, cool about Dish TV. I have Comcrap and they do anything and everything to screw you over. And of course they have a monopoly here.
Yes thanks we have tried pillows and blankets, He pushed them out of the way while still asleep and rolls over.. then Boom He is one that really moves around while sleeping, he has lots of chronic pain.. He has broke his back twice, Bilateral shoulder pain since surgery since 9 years ago.

Im sorry your provider isnt giving people more things to help pass the time

Finally made hash with the corned beef and cooked potato from St Patys day. Just chopped them up fine and cooked an egg over it. Mmm nothing better than real hash

Fortunately, the thing that was calling to me with rather violent ideas is now hidden. I'm not hearing it as much and feel significantly safer.
I am so sorry that you are faced with missing treatments I know that has to be beyond stressful. Can you pdoc possibly give you a stronger dose or medication to help try help?

Im glad your feeling better today

My bank is cutting its hours back and not all branches are open. Yes not ideal as I have to travel about 1.5 hours to get to one..

Does your credit union have a walk up atm that can scan a payroll check??? I know numerous banks do..

It has a walk-up ATM yes, but I've never attempted to even deposit a check into one, never mind scan one.

My mom thinks her bank will be open, so N3 can sign it over to her and she can cash it.

I’m feeling a little bit better tonight. Got things squared away with M.

Made a hearty stew today in the slow cooker and relaxed with some tv and reading.

I woke up at 2:16 last night in a panic and can’t get to sleep tonight for the same reason. I’m really concerned for our nation right now. Been limiting news. Still concerned. I wish Tennessee would lockdown.

I hope everybody stays healthy.

Wish my state would lock down too. I made a trip to the pharmacy today and there's way too many people out and about. I've limited the news too, watching a out of state PBS channel tonight. No ads. No breaking news interrupts on this station.

I am so sorry you will not have access to the your treatments.
On the other hand, I don't want to see you get the virus either.
It's yet another catch-22 in life..

I hope we can help somehow.

Good for you! It is sometimes important to take a break.

As far as pharmacies go, mine wanted me to come in with my prescription card so they could verify the numbers on it. I asked why they needed to check the numbers, as this is late March and all scripts have been covered just fine all year so far?

Some clerk was way out of line. WOW!
Turns out she was angry because I had reported some of her quotes to her boss. It was all stuff she should not be saying to customers and it was erroneous info. I have seen her do this over and over. She has done it to me too. It is dangerous in some instances. And so... you know.. just a little retribution from the clerk.

I hope you enjoy your evening!

Moose, another idea regarding your son's paycheck. He should check with his employer... virtually EVERYWHERE does paychecks by direct deposit these days. It won't help with this current check (like others' suggestions will), but would keep him from having to get to the bank at all in the future. I assume he has an account and debit card. If not, it is a simple matter.

Just an idea. Having to get to the bank all the time is a p.i.t.a.

I live in Ohio and there is currently a shelter in place order. I am gonna have a problems not going out. I am not a home body. I am an extrovert. I have been writing in my journal and listening to music a lot. I also have 6 cats to care for. I can feel my anger creeping up on me. I have prime and britbox so I have plenty to watch. One of my kitties is on the back of my office chair. I still plan on seeing my parents only unless they tell me not to come over. I was supposed to see my pdoc on Thursday but I think it will be cancelled. I hope that I can hold out until it is re-scheduled. This will be a trying time. This will really test the limits of my coping skills. I hope my meds are enough to get me through this nightmare. Well goodnight all.

2am and can’t sleep of course.

You know I LOVE my small town more and more I am so grateful we moved here 16 years ago from the rat race of Florida.

The sheriffs department is offering to do food shopping and picking up medications for anyone disabled and /or anyone over 60 years old to lesson the chance of catching Corona.

That's AWESOME!!!

My town has approx.21,000 people. Too many for the police (or the sheriff's dept). to help out with any extra offerings. Our law enforcement services are often stretched as it is.

It' such a compassionate service for your sheriff's department to offer.

Love Ya!

Oh, yes!

Her boss and I have worked together to catch her changing info in their computerized system. She wasn't very smart about it yesterday. She'd change the numbers just as soon as they were corrected by her boss. She'd done this twice within the same shift yesterday.

Thanks, Nammu!

Had an extremely rough night with suicidal thoughts and impulses. I want to thank everyone who was online last night to support me through it. It means a lot to me.

Some people say I might be mixed. I don't know. Maybe I am, if I am so impulsive.

I'm trying to remind myself as often as I can that there are people out there who care about me and don't want me to hurt myself, that I would hurt them greatly if I did something to myself.

It doesn't help that my mom had precancerous something cut out of her intestines during a routine colonoscopy. I don't know what exactly it was (because it wasn't clear to me), but apparently the dr said it was due to her very poor eating habits. And the thing is, my mom doesn't care to change. I have offered in the past to get her a personal trainer to come to the house, a nutritionist, etc., but she always came up with the excuse of "I don't have time." Yet she apparently has the time to go out to McDonald's and buy a double quarter pounder with extra cheese, a large fry, and a large vanilla shake. This is why I am frustrated and hurt. And it doesn't help that my dad is an enabler who refuses to admit he is.

I really am feeling so awful right now. I just feel deeply hurt by my mom and dad, and I am already feeling very low and impulsive.

I talked to another friend online (she isn't on this site, but we met on another site in 2006), and that helped me kinda push through the night. I'm back again struggling with the urges and impulses, though.

I would go for a walk, but we got a decent amount of snow last night. I don't know how much, but at least a solid 6 inches, I think. It's not a *ton* of snow like when we get 2 feet dumped on us from a blizzard, but it's enough to be inconvenient. Sidewalks just aren't cleared.
