I am getting too much sleep....
I am going to take half of my 1 mg of klonipin
to see if that helps with the fatigue and
sleeping so long I think I need to get to
bed sooner, hubby and I get to sleep about 1130 or midnight.
(((HUGS))))) to you my friend. did you go to florida this summer?

Was Steve well enough to go?

We flew and rented a car. that was so
much easier than having to take that 2 day drive.

How are you today? How is steve?

Oh boy this year has been a nightmare..

The end of the Christmas Florida trip Steve started having horrible headaches came and went over a few weeks then in February... Steve sister had a brain bleed , There Mom died of a brain aneurysm. The one Cindy had the neurologist told her can be hereditary so we got a MRI the next day, No sign of a potential problem , but we went to see his neurologist and he walked in and said ok we will get to the migraine issue but first you have 20% brain volume loss .. my heart shattered.. The cognitive issues that hes had for years we and our Doctors thought were from Gabapentin or Lyrica .. No ...So he failed some very basic neuro testing but wanted to get the headaches under control , who can think with migraines .. A month later he did only a very slight bit better .. then covid hit

In March Steve got a lung infection Not covid just typical for severe COPD. Well long story short 6 rounds of different antibiotics based on culture results and he was no better,, Then he just crashed I got him to the ER and had to leave him at the door and drive home alone .he needed insulin in the hospital , came home on Metformin and got worse and worse. He was so confused and starteed yelling at me , this wasnt my husband , got him right in with the Doctor.. Now on Glipizide and doing much better

He hasnt driven since about an hour on the trip home from Florida , we just dont think it is safe yet.

So no trips to Florida because of COVID. we are both high risk, his oldest Son wanted to come , I called our Doctor and they said to follow CDC guidelines ..

Florida testing is taking 7-9 days for results.. If exposed symptoms can appear starting as early as day 2 up to 14 ..SO if they got test and heard 7 days later it was negative they could have been exposed the day after the test . SO it sucks but its not safe for any of the kids to come.

Steve only goes tot he Doctor or hospital, I do all the shopping and every thing is sprayed and wiped down before I bring it in..

I woke up one day and had the most god awful sore throat ever... I was in a panic called the Doctor said if you still have it or a temp in 2 days let us know.. No temp but sore throat , they sent order to hospital for a test and I got my results just over 2 hours later , was negative thank god. Ihad started Metformin 4 days before and we assumed it was the cause.

So Steve has been sick literally ALL year ... Just the other day he was finally able to get out on the mower. I've had to do everything all year , its been hard but I am so glad he is getting better, Still cognitive issues and I hope they go back to the level of before he got lung infection..

So Early Dementia of some kind, The Neurologist isnt in a hurry to label it yet..

Very very rough year !

Im glad you had a nice trip ! Yes flying much better than the drive.

I slept last night out of exhaustion. Had a dream I was watching 20-30 preschoolers broken up into pods of 5, there was 4-5 adults. Nobody had masks on. Then we were rounding up the kids to wait for the buses and the other adult in my group leaned forward and felt a girls forehead, she had a fever. I woke up with my heart beating so fast. I finally get a dream and it’s a nightmare about Covid.

Hes’ce everyone!

Well it’s 3 AM CST and I’m up. Yesterday I had another trip to an urgent care. I have a wisdom tooth 🦷 that has been giving me the blues. It started causing me to have migraines, continuous fevers and now the ear on the left side..same side as the wisdom tooth started hurting as well.
I have medication to take to prevent infection while I figure out dental payments/dental insurance.

Hi guys, new to the “club”. I haven’t really slept now for two days. I mean, restful sleep that is. It’s 4:25am and I’m tired but unable to sleep. My work schedule being 3rd shift probably has a lot to do with that. Think it’s gonna be another day where I don’t get out of bed except to make food and pee.

I have a headache and I’m very cranky from not sleeping. I did drop off around 7am to 9 but two hours is not nearly enough. More broken dreams of driving a horse and buggy in rush hour traffic, a disagreement with my daughter over her daughter and some kind of pink soufflé in a chicken bucket. There was also a waiter who kept touching me and looked an awfully lot like Austin powers. Disjointed not pleasant dreams.

I tried going back to bed but Sir doesn’t like it when I go to bed during the day. He comes and sits and stares at me and uses his head to lift my hands. I think he remembers the depressions where I stayed in bed for weeks. As far as I can tell I’m not depressed just cranky and tired. But I pleased Sir by getting up and got dressed.

I think it's very sweet that Sir was looking out for you.

I think pets are waaaaay smarter than the average person makes them out to be. Pets understand human emotion and behavior much better than most idiot humans do.

Sounds like you had an interesting dream! Sometimes I wish I could record my dreams and burn 'em to a DVD or blu-ray something... or upload them to the internet so I can watch them later and share them with my friends. lol.

Welcome

Yes changing to shift work especially at night makes it hard to sleep when the rest of the world is up and making noise.

When I worked 3rd shift I always had a fan running, White noise effect ... Might want to try and see if that helps

I've been falling asleep pretty well - but after a few hours our male cat wakes me up meowing. I think he gets anxiety in the night when it's dark and all is quiet.

He's usually upset for about an hour. He has kitty calm down drops but he hates them so I try not to give them unless he's acting outrageous.

So - my sleep is good for a few hours, then I'm up for a few hours, then I doze for a few hours. No nightmares since I started the prazosin though.

Same thing. I sleep like crap at night and sleep like a rock as soon as the sun comes up. The Seroquel isn't doing jack. Which is actually a good thing, because I don't want to be on it.

Slept from about 10pm until 4am, albeit with a couple of wake ups.

I have become increasingly restless over these past few days. It is not mania, but possibly akathisia again. I don't know if my cogentin is working anymore. And the restlessness sucks because it keeps me awake at times!

I pace, pace, pace... Then i get mad that I can't focus on anything to distract from the restlessness. (Thinking about too many things at once while trying to pace the restlessness away.)

Good Morning, blue. I just want to share...neither cogentin nor propanalol did anything to help my tremors and akathesia. Then my pdoc came up with the idea to try something called "Amantadine." It's been incredibly helpful. My hand tremor is down so low that I can write nicely without the letters going all over the place. Even the akathesia is much improved.

I had a cat like that when I was in my 20's that did that .. I was like OK for the first few nights then I was like Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo stop it as he was just being a jerk lol

Prazosin helped with some of my PTSD nightmares but dropped my blood pressure too low for most nights so we flipped to Tenex , I dont think after a while it helped and I quit that along with other meds a year ago march, Ive not tried it again , yet.... maybe Ill pull it out and see if it helps anything again..

Hows the new job going???
