Okay. Try to stay connected to where you are and if you are creeping up. Prevent a disaster maybe.

Not even in our new automatic transmission car. My old one was manual. I tell you, my loss of some freedoms has been getting on my nerves. It's not just because of the house preparations, but also the pandemic. I am sure that initially people enjoyed more family time, but I think some have had enough.

I sent my hubby the one and only inquiry from Craigslist in response to his books in the Czech language. The inquirer asked for a response asap. I responded saying that I would pass it to my husband. I have bugged Hubby to respond, but right now he's probably sitting on the toilet with his cell phone reading about the mating season of the great horned owl, and hasn't yet responded to the guy.
I am totally coopting "slowpokery" for my next book, probably with attribution. I think you should just do standup on Netflix from now on. My pal has his own show there. I can hook you up.

Have you found anything that helps??
For years I was nice about it, and that didn’t work. Over the past year I’ve had serious talks about it with hubby. And that seemed to semi- get the point across, but no sustained change.
I do NOT want to be the nagging wife, but I can’t keep doing 80% of the work forever. Most of the time I deeply struggle with my mental health and basic every day tasks, and this just makes things worse.
I’ve realized I need to do a better job of advocating for my needs, so I’ve been doing this more frequently.
Anyone have tips to get a lazy hubby help out around the house more?? When they seriously don’t think there’s a problem 🤦 He watches tv for hours and hours every day and barely helps with anything. (this hubby grew up with an amazing mom who did EVERYTHING for him).
I’m not here just to complain- I really want actual advice. Thanks guys.
thanks for posting this Soupe... I hope your hubby steps it up & helps out more 💛
I do wonder whether the mothering archetype ha enjoyed has caused him to believe thst the male role is to play games and watch tv and the female role is to provide such an environment. It would be understandable. What about directly broaching this with him? That, actually, that is not how most of the planet operates. Maybe. Just a thought. Hugs.

My good man, that would be my dream! I likely wouldn't succeed as well in front of a Czech audience, so Netflix would be the best option.

I went to the urgent care. Luckily, I only have a really bad sprain. No fracture. The doctor suggested that I buy a hard ankle support brace.

I'm going to miss that urgent care center, and specifically that doctor I've seen three times this past year. He's even nicer than my general practioner who is hardly ever available. The nurses are nicer, too. The center is very new and pleasant with short waits. For longer waits they will call your cell phone when you are up, while you wait in the diner or Dunkin Donuts, next door. Only negative is that the copay is a little higher. That urgent care is about 1,000 times more pleasant than an ER.

We might go to the above center for our pre-Europe flight covid tests.

Hubby told me to take a PRN Seroquel. Oh well! My mood is still elevated, but wavers in intensity.

All I want is a refill for my rescue inhaler so I can breathe... called my pcp twice already today and can’t get a hold of anyone. So frustrating. Can’t even leave a message because they just put you on hold infinitely. Past two days I’ve been using an old expired inhaler that didn’t work too well when I first got it let alone years later. It’s better than nothing.

Do you have a peak flow meter? This measures how well your lungs are doing by blowing into it quickly and reading a number. I have an asthma action plan that tells me what my good, bad and really bad numbers are and what action to take for each one. Ranging from taking your at home inhaler to going to the ER. If your breathing gets really bad, I'd suggest that you go to your PCP's office or the ER to get a nebulizer treatment. You can't just sit around if you can't breathe! (/rant from an asthma sufferer)

Glad your ankle isn't broken but that does sounds like a nasty sprain! I hope the brace helps you feel better.

I agree with your hubby- take a PRN Seroquel.

It's 77 here today! I have the balcony door open and the heat and A/C off. I would call this an "Indian summer" day.

This is getting more and more common. I totally feel your pain on this. I could give more than a dozen similar examples of how some doctors and corporations have said the heck with customer/patient services. Some act like they are doing the customer/patient a favor by even responding or offering adequate service.

Oh, I’m too old for a completely 0sleep night. Wednesday night I suddenly vomited up all my night meds so I got zero sleep. I spent the night reading 3 books. Even tho I took it easy yesterday and got a great nights sleep last night I’m utterly exhausted. We have a shower chair in the shower for mum and I had to use it several times. Of course I didn’t really eat yesterday either as I didn’t want to get sick again, but boy howdy in my younger years I often went days without sleeping and or eating. In fact not sleeping made me more energetic.

I don't think so. I got mine through insurance at my primary doctor's office. They did the asthma action plan with me that day and a whole asthma work up. Please get immediate help if you get worse.

The rain is moving in. Supposed to pour here in a bit and then rain all afternoon/evening with a thunderstorm watch. Ooh!! There's thunder!

You are awesome, thank you. Thank you for recognizing this. I’m at work and am feeling more amped up with my mind amping up. Took a break. Doing some deep breathing and will try to slow my mind down.

I feel better then I did yesterday. I took my meds this morning at 5AM instead of 1AM. Which I think helped my overall well being. I was very tired as a result of not sleeping well and not going back to bed after taking the Geodon. I decided to go to to the store at 8 to avoid the crowds. They finally got in caffeine free regular coke. I suspect it is about to be discontinued and the company is just getting rid of it’s stock. I fell asleep on the way to the store and then I went back to bed until 10 and I felt ok after that. I mostly just read this afternoon. I still don’t really feel like eating much. My clothes are getting very loose. But my anxiety is a lot better. Although it’s starting to get a bit bad tonight. My depression is decent. I’m still not as bad as I was yesterday.

Thanks everyone for your support.

I haven’t called him I think I’ll be ok until my appointment on Tuesday. I have a stack of library books to get me until then. My therapist will be back on Monday. If I cut down on caffeine I’ll be ok. You guys have been a huge support.

No, but I “broke the (ridiculous) rules” and emailed him and told him I needed a new inhaler and that I spent over an hour in total on hold just today without getting through to anyone so hopefully that issue will be fixed for others trying to get through. Now I’m just waiting on the pharmacy.
I wonder why they don’t want people emailing their docs for prescriptions if thats the only way to get a hold of anyone...
