What ever you guys did it worked. They gave him medicine and a long list of signs to watch for. And come back. It was 1 in the morning when they called my daughter to come pick him up. They are kind of walking on eggshells. He is still in pain. Supposed to take it easy and at first sign of trouble go back. wish they could have done more.

I woke up this morning at about 5. I slept ok but I woke up feeling really sick in the middle of the night and I was very hot. So I took my sleep mask off and felt better. I don’t know if it was a side effect from the increase in Geodon. When I feel that type of sick it’s usually medication related. Then this morning I took my morning Geodon at 5. And I couldn’t fall back asleep. My Geodon makes me really tired. So I got coffee which didn’t help and then I fell back asleep until 9. I had group which I didn’t want to do because I was so tired. But I did it and I participated and as usual it went fine. I got an Amazon echo with Alexa so I’ve been figuring that out today. I really just wanted something that could play music but it does a lot of stuff like it can read me the news and the weather, and tell me jokes, and I can also create a shopping list. I got a really good deal on it since I guess it’s still considered Christmas time. I am just super tired today despite sleeping ok last night. My moods are fine. The increase in meds are helping a ton. I think it may have been really bad post op depression that made me screwy. But I’m getting things under control.

Nammu, I'm glad he's ok.

I've been reading facebook and links from facebook today. I read a really interesting article written by a phD RN about circumcision and the facts on both sides of the issue. This is not a new topic for me but The article had facts that I'd never heard before. Evidence and Ethics on: Circumcision - Evidence Based Birth(R)

Happy New Year to all! Let's hope that by the end of 2021 that we can look back feeling some relief that many things changed for the better. I assume it may still take some time, but I am hopeful.

Hubby and I are in Montgomery, Alabama right now. Yesterday we visited the powerfully significant National Memorial for Peace and Justice. I'd say that it was as powerful, or even more so, than the 9-11 memorial that we visited only a few months ago. We are so grateful for the work Bryan Stevenson and many many others have done and still do.

We had our first hot breakfast of the trip, this morning. All other hotels only had either grab bags, or just quick grab cold items, because of covid-19. Today's breakfast wasn't a buffet, but rather a couple hotel staff offered out the hot breakfast cafeteria style, from behind plexiglass, and into styrofoam containers.

Our next destination is Memphis, Tennessee. We'll surely sleep there tonight. Then on to Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas. For after that, we have ideas, but we'll see.

The depression has gone from severe to mild again so that’s good. managed to stay up till midnight, so did my son. Suffered through Jennifer Lopez. I felt absolutely no excitement whatsoever. No joy nothing. But whatever.

The intense nausea I had at the end of the summer has returned. Every time I eat I have to sit there and hope I don’t throw up. I am for sure not pregnant so idk what it is. Everyone says to get my gallbladder checked but I don’t have any PTO so it’ll have to wait as the specialist is only open until 4:30. RS is getting me some fresh fruit and yogurt for breakfast so I’m hoping that won’t be as bad.

Lots of cleaning still to be done that I couldn’t do bc of depression. Ugh. Happy new year, right???

I was able to take my Geodon this morning and fall back asleep for a couple hours. Which helped a ton and I woke up later than normal feeling refreshed. I got an Irish cream cold brew from Starbucks and I had a cup of Lipton blue fruit black tea. The tea reminds me of my therapist because I got it in February of last year and I was drinking a lot of it when I was struggling real hard and she was helping me out a lot and I was still seeing her in person. I drink it when I miss her. I’m hoping to get back into therapy not this coming week but the next week. But today I feel good and am doing good.

My stimulus check came in today. Its enough to pay off my credit cards and I’ll need my Geodon this month that’s $89 for a 2 month supply. Then I got some weight loss shakes from Sams Club. I don’t get people who blow their stimulus checks on stuff they don’t need or won’t be helpful to them. I’ve seen some crazy stuff people have bought with their checks.

It's freezing rain here. Or is it hail? Not sure. Tiny frozen rain it looks like. I can hear it hit the deck and the glass door.

I'm listening to a good CD: Rene Jacobs Airs de Cour. I have several of his records. They are from the 1980's I believe. He now conducts as I guess he's gotten old since the 80's - haven't we all?

I've turned the TV off for now. They are playing a Twilight Zone marathon- from yesterday morning to early Monday morning. I've seen a lot of them already.

I've taken some chicken wings out of the freezer for dinner. They are in a freezer baggie in the sink thawing. Going to use my air fryer again, of course! I want to try different things in it, but tonight will be chicken wings again.

I got my stimulus check! Last time, I had to fill out a special form because I hadn't filed taxes- I don't need to- but this time they sent the money without a hitch. It is pending deposit into my checking account but I assume it will fall in by tomorrow some time.

I stayed up until 1:30 reading, even though I went to bed just after midnight. I always seem to read for an hour and a half before I check the time. I wish I had an extension cord for my phone. Right now I have to plug it into the wall and have it sit on the floor. I can still hear the alarm from bed, but it would be nice to be able to pick it up and look at who is calling, texting, etc. My old phone had a speaker on the back/bottom and when it was laying on its back, the sound would be muffled. The speaker on the new version is on the bottom not the back so I can hear it better.

I already got myself a phone and just paid the credit card that I used to buy it so some of that $600 is going toward that. So I guess you can say I bought myself a new phone with some of the stimulus money. What are you going to spend yours on? Or have you already? I just went to pay my gas/electric bill and it says I have a credit from last month and I now owe $-4.43! Hooray!

I too received my stimulus check. The whole thing is going for medical bills. The insurance denied coverage for hearing aids and as I’m profoundly deaf I have to have the most expensive hearing aids. Nothing fancy. No extras just very powerful. $3090.00 so I’ll be paying on it for awhile.

Which stimulus check? Are we getting the $600?

Sounds like sleet. Kinda similar to hail. Freezing rain is when it's regular rain but freezes after it hits the ground. Sleet is water that froze on the way down. Hail is water that freezes and gets larger because of updrafts in storms (the stronger the updraft, the more water collects and freezes/the larger the hail).
----
We're getting hit with the storm tonight/tomorrow morning but it's going to be mostly snow.

I hope this time around, clozaril helps you out a lot, Falcon. I know it worked very well for me when I was on it. Hopefully you'll adjust to the sleepiness over time.

Hubby and I finally stopped for the day. We chose a hotel in Olive Branch, Mississippi instead of in Memphis, which is only 23 miles (35 km) away. Next to the hotel was a BBQ joint. We ordered the "dinner for two" full rib meal. The rib rack was over a foot long. We could only eat half of it, but took the rest to the hotel. Tomorrow we'll go in to Memphis, maybe drive near Graceland, and then on to Hot Springs National Park, in Arkansas, where we might stay three nights, for a break.

We had a blast driving this evening. At one point, Hubby said he reached 120 mph (193 kmh) on the highway, but said he did that by following someone else doing even more. I didn't even notice because I was on my phone, plus our new plug-in hybrid car is like being in a space ship. He only even told me because I scolded him when I noticed the speedometer at 92 mph (148 kmh), at one point. Then we put our satellite radio on the "Music from the 1970s" station, and sang along to numbers 55 to 30 of their top 300 countdown. Gotta love that stuff! And during one particularly spirited song, we noticed literal fireworks going off in the distance. In general, fireworks must be more popular in the south than in the north. In many states, you see fireworks stores all over. Also lots of highway billboard signs for injury lawyers.

During our dinner conversation, Hubby said they played The Knack's "My Sharona" while I was in the bathroom at a rest stop. I could have killed him for telling me, since that's my ultimate favorite car dance song.

I always wanted a time machine to go back to 1920’s and visit hot springs bath houses in their prime. Wonder if they are even open now with covid?

From what I've seen online, they are lovely. They remind me a little of the spas in Czech Republic.

I know the website said there is a phased reopening of some of the facilities. I sort of doubt there is much bathing going on except for maybe in the hotel rooms, but I'm not sure. In any case, I do look forward to exploring the beautiful buildings and the beautiful nature in that area. My husband and I are thinking about either renting a cabin or a cabin-like room in a forested area.

There are fascinating ruins of the Sutro Bath House (active about 100-ish years ago) at the edge of the ocean in San Francisco. But there are functioning hot springs around here. They're not open at this time.

I’m feeling pretty good today. The season premiere of my favorite show was on last night. God was it awful. It was completely different then the other season premieres and It seemed like they just got who they could get this year because of Covid. All the contestants seem especially kooky this year. And the judges had plexiglass between them and the crew members were wearing masks and face shields. It just seemed very end of the worldish and pretty unsettling the way they are doing things this year.

But I feel good today. I don’t have much to do. I went to Speedway to look for the new Mountain Dew. Still no luck. Then I went to Sonic for an iced tea. I came home and used my new over the door basketball hoop. Now I’m watching SpongeBob. I will exercise later.

Saturday nights are the hardest nights for me for some reason. It’s usually when I get panic attacks and take more meds then I should. But I’m confident I can handle tonight.
