If I wasn't the one driving. I'd gladly take on any other role. I don't feel in control behind the wheel of a large vehicle. Even in a large 4x4 truck, it just feels like a whole lot extra to keep track of.

If you had to choose: Mountain Cabin or Beachfront Cottage?

Ohhh, mmm, hmm 🤔 🤔 could I do half and half? No, ..well I guess I’d go with the mountain cabin. Any season except winter. In winter I’d choose the sea side beach.

USA or Europe?

Yup. A few. Big caves though with tourist stuff, but still really cool, literally cool, brr. Also was down in a mine. It was a tourist attraction, they gave everyone hard hats to wear and used the elevator that the miners used to go down. Not nearly as awesome as the caves.

Do you like seeing tourist attractions or do you prefer going off the beaten path?

I like having a tour guide to explain things. If I go off the beaten path, I am liable to get lost.

Where was your favorite vacation?

I guess that would be my first vacation as an adult. A friend of mine and I went to Wisconsin Dells when we were 19. We had both been working saved up money, borrowed my parents fold down camper. It was a real eye opener. We had a reservation at a campground and when we got there the woman almost didn’t let us stay because of our age. Apparently too many young adults partied and caused a ruckus. But end the end she let us stay. We did all the usual touristy things. Getting our pictures taken in old time costumes, visiting the tourist traps, and just having a blast. My friend hadn’t had that growing up so I was able to share that with her. And the day we left the manager was glad to have had us.

Of the people you’ve known, who was the one who you remember the most?

I used to love flannel sheets in the winter when we had several months of real winter. I can remember some of the nice patterns on those sheets. Red, blue, green buffalo plaids with little white penguins. Or all a warm-red color. Now it's not worth it to buy flannel sheet sets and use them for only a month or so. I do have 1 set of linen sheets for cold weather. The linen is warmer than cotton or bamboo or microfiber, but it's also rough feeling.

Are you watching a show or movie these days?

Andor on Disney+ for spy thriller action and Star Trek: Lower Decks for a bit of levity.

Is their a character performance (big screen, small screen or stage) that just captured your attention? What about it stuck out to you?

I don’t recall his name,…actually there were a couple of compelling actors in this movie. The movie was so ahead of its time, M, a 1931 German movie. It’s a really well done movie, long but so captivating. I remember being shocked that the movie was from 1931. Very well done.

Have you ever been shocked to find out that something is far older than you thought?

Frequently when I was working. It seems some people reach a certain age and stop visibly aging. Suddenly they are 98 and look 70.

Do you have a pet that sleeps with you (or have you in the past)?

Frequently my 3 cats sleep in bed with me. One always sleeps by my head, one by my stomach and one by my feet. It makes re-positioning myself during the night interesting.

Same question: Do you have a pet that sleeps with you (or has in the past)?
Thanks for this!

Q: Do you like walking in the rain?
A: In the summer. Not now that it is cold and wet.

Q: What is your favorite soup?

I love broccoli and cheese and butter squash but I’d have to say my favorite is Campbell’s tomato soup made with 2% reg cows milk. That and a grilled cheese sandwich and sliced dill pickles. That’s comfort food

What’s your favorite comfort food?

Soup. Almost any flavor. Leaning more toward vegetarian which is true for me all the time; I eat meat but if it wasn't served to me I wouldn't eat it much.

Have you had to have dental work thanks to your psych meds drying out your mouth?

Great question! I can certainly see dry mouth being a factor. I don't think it's been an issue for me, but my bipolar disorder has affected my teeth in the form of daytime bruxism. I used to (and sometimes still do) grind and clench my teeth so severely that it wore them down, and think caused a chip or two. My two front teeth were so damaged that I needed root canals in both. The endodontist said they are worn down as much as many 70 year olds'. I was not yet even 50 when she said that. Currently I need a rear molar worked on because of a chip. Oh, how bipolar affects us in many ways!

Do you have any kind of phobia (very very minor to much more significant)?

strong phobia of heights. Improving one of birds now that we have 6 free-range chickens who honestly are pretty sweet. I'm going to touch one soon.

Have you had trouble with shipping issues in recent months?

Do you wish you were asleep right now? (I do, I'm so tired)

I would love to be asleep. I think it's going to be a hard night.

What is something you dread doing?

Phone calls. I absolutely hate and dread making phone calls.

If you got a Do-over button for one year of your life, what year would it be?

2009. I took a 4 days/week job and they didn't hire anyone to cover the 4th day. I was perpetually in trouble for not getting everything done but they were expecting the same from me as the fulltime PT. I had horrible assistants who were risking their licenses and mine and didn't listen to me. Nobody backed me up. I should have quit. Instead I got fired. I later learned that they had a reputation for firing experienced therapists for no reason and replacing them with much cheaper new grabs. I worked for a staffing agency after them and they told me they wouldn't even work with that company. It was miserable although really only 7 months before I was fired. It was a bad, bad, 10 months in their employment.

If you could go to a zoo or an art museum to spend a whole day which would you choose, assuming good weather?

I'd go to a zoo (I do enjoy art museums also)

I'll ask that same question, would you prefer to visit a zoo or an art museum (assuming good weather)?

Can't go wrong with either, though I'd choose the art museum!

What's a job, dream, goal that, when you achieved it, didn't live up to the hype?

Being a supervisor. I had assistants in most of my jobs and I just wasn't good at getting them to do what I wanted them to do (with some exceptions). I wanted teamwork based around my assessments and planning and they wanted to do whatever they wanted. It was so frustrating and honestly something I had thought I would be good at. My last job I didn't have an assistant and I loved it even though I was chronically overworked.

Have you ever made a friend in IP that lasted outside the hospital?
