Vivaldi, I have not listened to Vivaldi for ages. Thanks for sharing

Oh no, broken toilet lid, what a pain! We had a new toilet installed a few years ago, it's much more robust than the old one (I posted on here once about the broken flusher I think ) (or it could have been the upstairs one, we need more than one here. Papa bear has another tummy upset, I get those a lot too)

I love sparkly things

What a fun day today has been I think I got a customer service guy fired from Amazon lol. I called cause I was having problems logging into my account cause some of the questions were set up by my wife and I did not know them. Well I call in explain my situation and the guy was a total A hole. He did absolutely nothing to help me and at the end I said thanks for nothing and he responds with F off B$$ch then he hung up on me. I was so pissed off that I called right back got a different guy and I filed a complaint then this guy helped me out and we got things taken care of. People that know me will actually a tell you I am a nice guy but I guarantee you this guy would not have a set to say that to my face. To bad Amazon has a local distribution center so I get stuff a lot of times the next day. I wish I could find a better place to order my **** from. I think I will start looking for actual stores.

Oh wow, I’m so sorry @otroo that guy sounded incredibly rude! I’m so glad the other one was able to help you though! I know what you mean about the convenience of Amazon!
Shopping small and local is always a good option but tends to be more expensive it’s hard sometimes!

Thanks so much @bizi !
I cried because she couldn’t come over and had got all dressed up and was so disappointed. I just felt so bad! She always says how lonely she is during the week when everyone is working so really looks forward to the weekend but wasn’t able to come because of me .
I spoke to her on the phone a couple of times and thankfully my other sister who I haven’t had contact with went round to hers and gave her flowers and took her some fish and chips for dinner which was lovely of her!

I will call my pdoc's nurse tomorrow and tell her I'm taking the additional dose. If the pdoc agrees, great. If not, I have my work cut out for me because I will need to go to county psych emergency and talk with someone so I can have proper treatment for the anxiety.

I've been buying just a few little things to brighten up my apartment for spring. My kitchen is red-themed, but the red tablecloth was done for. So I have a cute black and white one now. I have a really pretty hand made pottery vase on one of my book shelves, it's small and kind-of roundish. I love it, but I'm tired of looking at it. So I'm going to store it for now. I bought a little hand made basket to put on the book shelf; the basket is a bright chartreuse. I just wish the etsy seller would mail it already.

Anyway, don't have money for much, but just a few little things here and there brightens my spirits. Oh, and my favorite thing - new sheets! I bought a set of bamboo sheets on sale for $25. They're light beige, so nothing fancy, but the bamboo is so soft and cool for warmer weather.

Well, I am going to test Sidney's glucose then zip over to the store in the hopes of finding a nice pastry for a Sunday treat.

Love and hugs all around
Hi again @BethRags !
Sorry for posting to you twice!
I’m glad the gabapentin helped and I hope the dose is increased for you!
It’s always such a worry isn’t it!

The things for your apartment sound very lovely! I know what you mean about getting tired of looking at things! Sometimes a change is good for the soul!

The sheets sound excellent, I love bamboo - it’s so soft! I wear bamboo socks all the time and I recently bought my partner bamboo boxer briefs (he’d probably think this is too much information ) but he loves them!

Ah I’m sorry you never made it to the store yet for your treat, it sounds delicious, I hope you get to go!

My husband is working on an editing project for his sister's beau to check his English translation of a scientific journal article. It's quite boring reading! He is a water scientist. He's also incredibly verbose! I know that I am, too, at times, but am capable of editing my writing when needed. Hubby refused direct payment, but as a thank you, the beau is offering that we stay at his vacation apartment in a scenic part of Czech Republic. Perhaps we'll go there with my husband's American friend that may visit us in the summer.

I thought I was casually dieting last week, but only lost 0.2 lbs. Guess I need to be more serious, so I'm now tracking on MyFitnessPal. So far so good today. I made a nice stir fry. I just adore them and swear if I ate them more frequently I'd lose more easily. Yet, Hubby sort of dislikes them. He even complained about today's. I told him that he will not be served any of the leftovers, and that he can eat yesterday's tomorrow and then scrambled eggs. He'll still covet my stir fry, despite. How do you dislike yet covet something? He's like a pet, in that sense.
Hi @Soupe du jour!!
Yes we’re the same here, we lost an hour yesterday!
That’s interesting, yes I think a few people have been questioning why we still do it.
That’s very kind of your husband to do that! The vacation apartment sounds lovely, I do hope you enjoy it whenever you manage to go!
I’m sorry your husband doesn’t like your stir fry! My partner is super fussy and we often have to cook different meals as he doesn’t eat any veg and only bland food (meat and potato/rice/pasta). He’s on the autism spectrum so there is that, but it can be quite frustrating!
I’m glad you find the fitness app helpful, I’ve tried it at times but I usually get bored LOL! I hope you have more success!!
Lots of hugs

Whoa sorry for so many posts , I just wanted to try and catch up with lots of people as I haven’t been able to without a laptop.
Thank you so much to everyone for your support and well wishes! Hopefully my covid symptoms stay mild.

My leg is annoying me, there is so much bruising/internal bleeding the whole back of my calf is black and blue and it’s all pooled in my ankle/foot too. It’s still very tight and swollen feeling but not as bad as it was the first few days!
I’m worried I’ve done more damage than I anticipated and my recovery is going to be longer. I was hoping to be back playing for our next game in just over 3 weeks but I don’t think I’ll be able to now.
I think I’m looking at an 8 week recovery but I’ll know more after I’ve spoken to the physio tomorrow.
I have had to cancel my face to face appointment because of having covid but ask if I can do a video/phone call session.

Besides that, my mood is still improving, I’m obviously sleeping more with having covid but there were a few days there where I stayed awake the whole day and managed to stay up late too (well, late for me )

I just wanted to say thank you so much to you all for your support for me over the past couple of months. It’s really been a bad episode and I appreciate all of your kindness, empathy and sympathy everyone has shown me. It’s not an easy illness to live with as we all know, and for me it is made just that little bit easier when I find people who understand me, provide support for me and who aren’t quick to judge. So thank you so so much!

I hope you all manage to have a wonderful sleep! Lots of hugs

I had a good day practicing all my new healthy habits. I cleaned out a cupboard for the canned food i am experimenting with. When i start cleaning out cupboards and closets it means my mood is improving.

I did a fun thing with my afternoon snack of peanuts. I just wanted a small serving and it looks lonely in my only cereal bowl so i put it in a small antique tea cup instead! Ha!

I had an upset this evening when i felt unhappy and dissatisfied and ate some junk. I felt such torment and remorse after. I threw the rest away and will try and have popcorn made in my microwave popper tomorrow.

Perhaps today was just too quiet. Winter weather came back to haunt us so i did not get out to chat with my neighbors. Tomorrow i have my ZOOM social hour, so if that is indeed the problem i should have an easier time of it.

@Pinny:

So sorry to hear you have COVID and about your poor leg. Sending healing vibes!

My mom and dad drink sugar free tea like all day long well their tea maker broke. I told them they could have mine we had just got it this summer and she did not use it to much. It was her bride to get me to do something lol she made really good sweet tea. Anyways I get home went to pack up the tea maker and it made me cry. I called my mom why I could not give it to her and she understood. I am lucky to have a great family. I am the youngest of 4 by like 9 years. I was the spoiled one because when before my teens I was a only child since I was 10 lol. It was great.

Thanks, Birdie Yeah, the sheets arrived and they're a beautiful cream color.

Sidney is doing pretty well. Poor little thing, I worry so much about her that I keep checking on her. She probably wishes I'd leave her alone for a while.

I bought a marionberry hand pie. It was wonderful. A raspberry cheese danish sounds divine. Gosh, I haven't had one in years.

Amazon can be both terrific and it can be very frustrating! I hear you! Talking with an agent on the phone...oh, I have had some angry times with that. I'm sorry you got a jerk.

Do you have both brothers and sisters? I'm the youngest of 3 sisters, so I was also the one left at home when my sisters moved out. I hated being alone, though.

It's entirely understandable about the tea maker

When I was in Dublin I ate fish and chips. We have them here of course, but the fish in Dublin were huge! So delicious. And the man who owned the shop was so funny, a real character.

How are you feeling today (Monday)? Your leg injury sounds a bit too serious! Are you sure you don't need a doctor to check it? An X-ray, maybe?

You are a precious soul, Pinney. I'm so glad you're here.

@otroo, I've had some doozy interactions with "customer service", as well. It is good that you reported that person.

I'm also a youngest child, but not quite by 9 years. I'm 5 1/2 years younger than my brother and 6 1/2 younger than my sister. When young, the difference seemed far greater than it does now. We all left home young (18), though. I did live with folks very briefly after university (month here and there), but wasn't home much. When I left, my folks quit smoking and lost a lot of weight and seemed happier than ever, unlike some parents that are sad at the departure of their kids. I laughed about it then and still do.

I’m also the baby of 3. All girls. I was an only from 12 on, but it seemed longer cause I was the only one downstairs. Both of the sisters had their bedroom upstairs. I loved being alone. I don’t know where my sisters were, friends houses? my oldest sister probably moved out already, but starting age 8-9 I was left in the house alone for Labor Day weekend. I watched the jerry Lewis telethon from beginning to end. I wasn’t really alone I had my dog and pony.
