Then why hasn't he had any repercussions for his actions yet?

He just did yesterday at the hearing. I doubt he'll be president again. That should be good enough for people if he just went away instead of died.

"Criminal charges considered.." Not being president. Billions of people aren't president, plenty of presidents didn't serve two terms, what are their crimes? Man's had it made for 76 years

Ugh. I'm sorry you had one of "those" nights, and sorrier still that you didn't find at least one pal to hang out with here.

Maybe you're correct. I can only say that my life I haven't seen things go in such a simplistic way. I've seen shiteloads of men and women with golden souls get really, really cruel deals. I've seen people who did nothing but stomp on and use everyone kick back and enjoy the ride to the top.

All you need do is look around on this forum and tell me how unfair life can often be.

Mostly though, I've seen random. Some "good" people get good back, some don't. Some "no-good" people get bad back, some don't. There doesn't seem to be any predictable order to it, at all. Life is weird that way.

I can wish for bad things to happen to DT and I can wish for good things happen to DT and I can not give a care about what happens to DT and believe me, none of what I think about DT is going to make one little bit of difference in what happens in my own life. I can promise you that's true.

Spent nearly 9 hours last night. Horrible abdominal pain and nausea. They sent me home and now it’s hurting again and I had not eaten lunch yesterday. I later tried to eat today and I feel sooooo sick!

TV, should have capitalized it. The boob tube, every other ad is for the local news telling us how bad the next three days are gonna be. We have blizzards and blizzard like conditions with blowing snow and low temperatures so they are making sure everyone is scared. Whenever they do this usually the storms turn out to be much less dramatic than they made it out to be. And really it’s not looking like a storm of the century so, chill. It will be much worse by the Great Lakes and the northeast.

From the first week he became pres the man has enticed and encouraged the ugliest racism and hatred ever in the history of the USA. He has, with joy, caused this country to split a separatist nation to a point at which we are an inch from civil war. I'm not going to use this forum to go into my detailed political beliefs and the examples I'm thinking of because I'd have to trigger warning everything, it would take posts miles long, and I don't even want to put the time, energy, and upset into it all.

But you're correct - it probably would be better if he just "went away" because if he died I fear his (now smaller) band of supporters would martyr him and that could become, temporarily, anyway, dangerous.

There was a large 6.3 earthquake overnight on the north coast, centered in a lovely little town called Eureka. Things are pretty shaken up (bad pun, not intended) in that region. No deaths thankfully, but many injuries, and a lot of damage. 2 days ago there was a smaller 'quake in a town that I so well know the name of and am blank on. So it gets a bit creepy when the earthquakes are happening like that. Here, there, here, there, and getting larger.

I always worry about Noah, living in San Francisco, because that city is a likely place for a major earthquake to strike, also my niece, who lives in a city very close to S.F. Where I live we would certainly feel a large or major 'quake, but it would be unusual for us to be an epicenter. So we could have damage, possibly some injuries, but wouldn't expect deaths or major structural collapse, or fires (coming from broken gas lines).

Here's an example of what today's earthquake did to a street in Ferndale, a town near Eureka. The earth shakes and rolls, so things kind-of squish up and collapse.

Can't say much about the Great Lakes (but I know they should be used to major storms by now), but here we're just getting a bit of snow and it's switching to rain and wind. They're saying that now, but it's too far out to tell.

Actually, 2 people have died. That's really sad.

Well, Humboldt County is super-super liberal and they sure don't like DT so maybe you're spot on, Md. They probably held an early winter solstice gathering chanting We want DT dead and now look - they got an earthquake

(Sorry for the bit of cheeky humor. Actually, not sorry. I can't help myself.)

Well Steve decided last night that if I don’t go to Florida he’s not going based on this brutal cold we are going to get. Fine fine I’ll go but lots of challenges.

1. Gus gets car sick every damn time. Last trip to get his nails clipped I gave him Dramamine and it helped but….. was only a 10 min drive at most. So 12/13 hours ?? Eventually he will run out.
2. I’ll be staying with my daughter and she has 2 cats so that’s going to be interesting because Gus has never seen one.
3. I will be staying at Amanda’s 24/7 because I think if Gus was left alone he’d likely bark the entire time and her neighbors don’t need that..
4 Steve will be staying likely at his ex’s house as his youngest son will be moving. Steve’s able to tolerate her for the sake of seeing the boys.
5 Dexter will have a fenced backyard at his ex’s . No way can he come to Amanda’s because he thinks cats are food
6 there will be only a tiny amount of trunk space so I’m traveling so very light.
7 I’m not thrilled about this trip. I’m sad I don’t have any Xanax in case things get awful for me.
8 plus side I can just veg with my kid watch Netflix for a week. Steve will probably come over a few times to baby sit Gus so Amanda and I can go out a couple times.

Tomorrow will be busy. Picking up rental car in the morning and it’s 1.5 hours away. Then I have to go to post office to stop mail. Then I see Richard at 4 then home to blow out our pipes and head to Florida. Such a long boring As$ drive. I hope to stop and see my brother for a few mins and then our friends in North Florida. Then long drive back home.

Am just not thrilled about the trip but a week with my kid ? Priceless.

Thanks to anyone that read all ^

Anyone getting slammed with this polar vortex? Strange how they name them now. Like they do hurricanes! Weird.

Ugh, what a headache. But yeah, a week with your girl!

We got the extreme cold today, but it’s not the worse we’ve gotten. Really it’s about par for course.

Thank you Everyone here has been super supportive. I probably wouldn't even have gotten the courage to talk about it or brought it up finally without some supportive people telling me it's helpful to talk about things like this, I just kept pushing it all to the back of my mind and ignoring it despite doing that causing me issues everyday of my life for my whole life. I feel relieved to finally have talked out loud about all of this stuff.

I'm watching Counting Cars with my Christmas tree plugged in.

N3 and I met at the bookstore and looked over all the manga books they had which was quite extensive . We picked out his g/f's Xmas present from me- part of the gift exchange. I also bought 3 gift cards for the kids' stockings. N3 paid me back for the book he wanted. Don't know if that's just for him or if it's a gift for his gf. I dropped the books off at my mom's. She said she'd wrap them and all I had to do is write my name on it.

I'm still anxious. Every morning the first thing I think is a bad memory. This is right when I open my eyes. I've taken my prn Haldol as much as possible.

I still can't believe my case manager asked me if I remember her coming over! I guess it's because I didn't remember that she brought me one of my proofs for food stamps renewal.

I'm proud of myself that I didn't

Well, @Moose72 you sound calm, but you're also mentioning being relieved that you didn't take too many pills. That is very concerning to me. I'm confused...how are you doing now?
