I feel blah today. Probably mostly the time change just like everyone else. Plus I'm down to 2 valium for the next several days. My mom and I aruged about food again this morning. We don't argue much, but when we do its pretty much always about food or related to food. Idk. I hope my therapist has some insight. To be honest I think my vitamin D pill is just causing loss of appetite and little interest in food which then causes restriction. Or some ****. I've been eating Eggo frozen pancakes like crazy. I got a spinach feta egg wrap though from Starbucks for lunch.

Goodness, don't worry about forgetting things. I know the memory loss from ECT can be extreme, but I think most of us who have been on long-term psych meds have at least some memory loss. I sure do. I think it's from nearly 30 years of taking Klonopin and it's bad enough that it scares me, because benzos can cause dementia.

Oof, I have to spend a good deal of time today catching up on book business stuff. It's okay, I don't really mind. I'm just a bit behind.

It's raining. Another "atmospheric river" is predicted for Tuesday night. That means hard wind and heavy rain. I feel like everyone in California got sent to a different planet, this is so weird. Fortunately, the corridor that runs in front of the apartments stays dry, or mostly dry. I'm done with waiting for the "right" weather; I'm going to roller skate today on that corridor. If I don't get some exercise I'm going to grow roots.

I’ve been totally looking forward to the “spring ahead” for weeks. Then I totally forgot to change my clocks. When I woke up at my usual time this morning I said oh no, no way. Rolled over and managed to go back to sleep with really wild weirdo dreams. Didn’t wake until 11am, which unknown to me was really noon!

I had Culver’s small malt, two chicken tenders and a serving of pretzels bites yesterday for lunch and still haven’t had anything else since. Man that just weighed me down. Since mum’s passing I’ve mainly been eating salads. They are individually made up kits. No dishes and no cooking. But man that malt was heavy. Been over 24 hours and I’m still not hungry!

Take a water bottle in with you, but put very hot tea with 2 or 3 cough drops in the tea. They will melt and if you sip the drink it will help stop you from coughing.

I've been so lethargic all day. I drank half a liter of Diet Coke and a trenta iced tea and I took an hour nap around noon but it didn't help. Then it literally took me 2 hours to pull myself out of bed to heat up another round of frozen pancakes. I don't feel sick. Just tired and not hungry and my stomach is kinda weird. But I don't feel like anything is wrong.

My sister is being kinda rude about me staying over for a few days and my mom is on their side. Like we babysit your child twice a week and you stayed at our house twice 2 weekends recently. I don't get it. My mom claims its because their house is a mess and I wouldn't have anywhere to sleep. They are hoarders and like just clean up maybe?

I'm lethargic, too. Like I can barely move. I think it's the time change jet lag feeling.

I'll bet your mom is right. Hoarders get SO freaked out when they have people in their space. It's all about them, not the other person. I think they feel exposed and freaky. God, I hate it when people hoard. It's not like I judge the mess, I just judge the behavior, I admit it.

It was a beautiful day yesterday and i've been feeling lonely so i went to the arts and crafts afternoon at my drop-in. But they still require masks and i find them so uncomfortable i left before the activity started. I went for a nice joyride on public transit.

Today was nice so i went to the mall to get some human contact. I settled in the food court with a snack and a puzzle. But there were groups of people all around me and i felt like a loser all by myself. Someone asked to take my free chair and then someone else asked to take the other and i was sitting there at the table with my one chair and i just felt too conspicuous so i left.

Well, i try.

I'm so sorry. I shuddered when I read about the chairs. I have been in that situation and I've wished people were more aware. I've even had my possessions sitting on a chair nearby when someone still asked for the chair. I think it's rude and inconsiderate.

Good for you for going to the arts and crafts afternoon, though! I feel for you regarding the masking. I have a very, very hard time with masks. I understood the purpose when covid was rampant, but at this point?? I just don't think breathing your own stuffy air is healthy. And wearing a mask feels like it restricts my breathing, which I also don't find healthy.

Anyway, I think you should give yourself a lot of credit for making the most of your day.

I got prescriptions from the hospital, Tessalon Perles for the cough and Prednisone for the clogged airways. Of course, I can't pick them until tomorrow when the pharmacy opens. Sleep until then? delsom is a good cough syrup, flonase nasal inhalant for allergies which are heavy right now with spring. try zyrtek in the morning , i walked into a nurse practitioner run clinic and he told me that my coughing was from post nasal drip from allergies.you need to take benadryl at night to decongesant you and help dry up the drip sure enough after I did all of those things my coughing went away. this may not what you wanted to hear. I wish you luck and good health.

I went furniture shopping for my new house today.

I feel super guilty about the amount we spent but it had to be done …

We got a new lounge suite, outdoor patio furniture and a coffee table. We still don’t have a dining room table we will just have to eat outside. It’s an enclosed patio so it should be fine.

I agree that post-nasal drip is part of the equation, and I've been taking a lot of the stuff mentioned already. It's just not been too effective. Delsym has been mild to middling in cough relief. Maybe one to three hours at a go. Nasonex and Claritin did their jobs with congestion but that ran headlong into my pinched nerve issue that gets exacerbated when I try to elevate my head and neck above a certain level. So, no drainage or drainage down the wrong way. Hence my Catch 22.

Thanks on the luck and health wishes. The tessalon and Prednisone seem to be doing the trick. I've had my first good chunk of sleep in a while and am looking forward to much more!

I don't know what to do. I have urinary retention real bad right now. I'm like crossing my legs because I have to go so badly but I then am straining so hard and I can't go. I've put on 3.2 pounds in water weight. I've been trying to go all night. I don't know if its my kidneys or what. Should I go to the ER in the morning or call my kidney doctor or just wait a bit or what.

I should have gone with my gut and never let her move back in. This sucks. I love her, but I refuse to let her walk all over me like she does with everyone. She is never at fault it is always someone else's fault she has never accepted accountability for anything she has done. Sorry for venting but I needed to get this out.

What's even worse than evacuating is the people who are stuck due to snow. There have been massive snowstorms in San Bernardino, which is very close to Los Angeles. Getting snow there is absolutely bizarre; it's a warm, sunny region year-round. The whole neighborhood has been stuck for nearly 2 weeks because the roads are completely blocked with 5 feet of snow. There's no electricity, the nearest grocery store's roof caved in because of the weight of the snow. No one there has provisions for snow because it's unheard of in that location.

I feel really fortunate because the city workers in my town have been able to keep the streets mostly clear of flooding. The only flooding I have to deal with is large, deep puddles of water. I have platform Crocs, so am wearing those to keep my feet from getting wet when I go outside. There is rain predicted for today and for days to come. It's absolutely crazy.
