Another day going downtown to an outdoor art show and i do NOT feel exhausted. I'm so pleased. I was feeling the PTSD engulf me last night but today i really rallied. I saw two casual friends at the show and kept it brief with both of them. The park was just ethereal, so pretty with gigantic, elegant weeping willows and a river with a thousand birds. The park dwarfed the art in beauty.

I wore my new blonde wig and felt quite special. A musician or perhaps a grip who was wrapping up a show played a quiet "Rolling on the River" for me on the guitar and sang. It was amateurish but the guitar work was impressive, just a little TOO slow. He wished me a nice day after and i felt happy to have been serenaded.

Thanks everyone for your posts and thanks and hugs. The surgery went ok. They did have to cut me open. They rearranged some of my insides my blood pressure.dopped while I was just waking up and they were low key alarmed so they had me in recovery for a bit longer.

I will have to go to a super specilast at at a bigger hospital to look at some other issues.

But I am at home now. They were toying with the idea of keeping me a second night because I was having a. bit of trouble getting out of bed the first time I got up I needed to use the walker and the nirse hadd to hold lonto me with a belt. The second time I needed the walker but I got around after that.

Whem I got to my room yesterday the nurse said she
Would get me a urinal and my mom explained that wouldt work and the nurse was so nice and respectful and got me a purwick

I still didn't go and at 2AM a nurse and the tech came in becausei I still hadn't gone yet. So the nurse did a bladder ultrasond it lookef ok. At 8:30 I still hadnt gone and tjhey had me try using the commode bit they ended up putting a quick cath in and out and a to camr out. I had a 3rd bladder ulrtrasounf I hadn't gone toatlly but it was good enough to let me go home. I've been fine since I got home.

But everyone was incredibly nice and non judgemental. I was nice as well and kept saying thank and plesse can get this please. They had to keep telling me to call it I neeeded stuff.

I have to have an apppointmemt with my pcp and then apppintmemt with the general surgeon next week.

@Mountaindewed: So happy to hear your surgery went relatively well and that you are recovering quietly at home. Yay!

@Mountaindewed I was going to ask you this in a private message but you have yours turned off.
You can send me a private message if it easier for you. May I ask what kind of surgery did you have to have?

Maybe because I was inactive for quite some time they dropped me from the forum? Thanks for your response.

@bizi do you mean dropped from the poobah forum? I haven't posted there in years if ever and it's never gone away for me. Maybe post in Community Feedback and Support?

Having an amazing night watching Svengoolie with my best friend, they are showing the third installment of "the creature" - I had an amazing day and night today, watching movies, and just hanging out- also got to spend some time with a beautiful man. Things couldn;t be better - finally it seems this depression has lifted. Can't wait for this 70 degree day tomorrow so I can open my window. The storm should be coming through tonight.

Thank goodness your surgery went well @Mountaindewed - it's good to see you. Good looking @Brentus -the haircut and beard suit you well.

@bizi - try this: https://mysupportforums.org/premier-poohbah-forum/ - that should bring you to the Premeir Poobah section.

Dewed -great news! Amazing your back home already. I was in for much longer for my hemorrhoid surgery. Yeah they dont let you go home until you can pee. They numb you all up so all your poor little nerves and muscles swell and freeze, then expect you to just go!

I called the hopital because of the diarrhea and I also almost was hysterical because of the binder I have over my stomach incision.

I called the hospital and they said the diatrhea is.probably from the laxatives I got yesterday and this morning for the oxy.

They said I could take off the binder.

I had a good day. We drove down to my sister's and spent the afternoon with her family. My nieces are 12 and 15 and we don't see them nearly as often as we wish we did (or used to when they didn't have social schedules). We were models for my older niece to practice face painting. She's doing it at a festival next week to raise money for Girl Scouts. I am so proud of her; yesterday she joined in a walk-out at her school to protest gun laws. I never was bold enough to do that when I was in high school. My sole act of rebellion was that the band members bough tee shirts that said "March Naked". It was just a silly joke based on shirts they were selling at a drum corps show we went to but our principal went ballistic. They were banned from school property. I liked to carry mine in my gym bag and wear it under a sweatshirt when I was running after school.

We went to a Chinese restaurant for dinner. I've not been able to have soy sauce for a long time because I was on the highest dose of my MAOI and it can interact. I'm technically not supposed to have it on this dose but I've never had trouble and I don't consume much. The one and only time I reacted to something my MAOI limits it was sauerkraut and I knew immediately that I'd messed up. So I assume if I'm going to react to soy sauce I'll know. Anyway I had chicken and vegetables and enjoyed the soy sauce part of the sauce a lot.

Now I just need a good night of sleep.

Maybe it’s because I’m the youngest but I’ve been protesting since middle school. I protested against the schools policy of girls required classes, home ect , typing, office machines and one more. They made me take typing and I deliberately failed but the teacher gave me a c just so I wouldn’t repeat in her class! Which in hindsight was very nice of her since I was on the honor roll and had a B+ average. I forget all the things I walked out in protest of In high school but they were important to me at the time. In a couple weeks I have another protest!

My mom, sister and I have all been protesting frequently lately. So now my niece is our 3rd generation protestor.

I did forget my mild act of rebellion in middle school. We were required to shower after PE but hated it greatly. So someone in the class started a petition to try to get out of it. I signed but not my full name. Say my name is RoseMary, I signed it "Mary". I thought that legally meant I hadn't signed! We did not get anywhere with the showers so we all continued to just splash around a bit.

I woke up grumpy. I was grumpy all day. Not sure what’s going on with me today. Probably overwhelmed with family stressors. W. and I aren’t getting along recently…that’s frustrating. Maybe I’m overthinking it. Idk.

I live a couple blocks from a Civil War memorial at one of if not the busiest intersection in town where they frequently hold protests. I went to one back in April but I learned I am one that needs to chemically calm myself before/during because I will be the one out there at 11pm walking in circles screaming phack the phedophiles. People are persistent though, they’ll be there when it’s 35 and pouring rain and when the wind is so strong you have to hold on to those signs for dear life. Makes me proud of my city

I do not like being sober these days. I’m just listening Surgically Removing the Tracking Device by Say Anything on repeat. Supposed to get $50 of Ensure delivered yesterday, but there was some problem so I’m hoping I can get those today. My fridge has been looking really pathetic for a few weeks. I’m really happy it’s nice and cool today. It’s rainy, but that’s better than 88 and humid af. Sooo much lightning yesterday. I kinda hope my CM actually shows to our appointment tomorrow.

Just drinking fluids because I have a colonoscopy on tuesday..I just had 2 cups of low sodium chicken broth, and 2 cups of coffee, with alittle cream.
need to get dressed. I just took my magnesium citrate and I about gag/got sick. Drank a cup full of warm white grape with peaches an I think I will try to warm it up. I did that and it was so much better. It reminded me of fall and hot apple cider. At 1;30pm I have one more dose of mag citrate but I am not going to that. I will take 4 ducolax instead. I have permission to take that instead because I called the office last week and told them that the mag citrate made me vomit. I did end up taking the mag c. along with 4 ducolax. I am very nauseated right now. the 8 pm dose will only take the ducolax.
