Jan, that's good news that you are going to see an ortho doc you like and trust. As for getting Bella to take her pill, you can wrap it in anything gooshy that she likes to eat.. cheese, canned dog food, that sort of thing.

The intestinal bug left over the weekend. It would seem that my exhaustion Friday, Saturday, Sunday was the beginning of a respiratory bug. My poor ol' nose looks like Rudolph! I am so danged tired of being sick!!!!

I have a question for the group. Have any of you tried medical marijuana for fibro pain? I've heard it is helpful with the pain and doesn't have that drugged out after affect the next day. My state legalized it for medical purposes last year. I'm thinking of asking my pdoc about it. Might sound weird to ask him, but I trust him the most to monitor my meds.

I have to go back to work tomorrow. I have a legal hearing I have to prepare for that will be held Friday.

I am giving Belle her pill in some cheese and forcing her to swallow it. Then I give her a doggie cookie. Maybe she'll start to look forward to the reward.

Liz, I thought about your question a lot last night and today. I haven't tried marijuana. It's not legal here and I'm a scaredy cat anyway. That said, if you can get some medicine that will help you, try it. You have nothing to lose.

I have tried it and of course it's going to work differently for different people. I have used the CBD oil because I am very med sensitive and even the edibles were too much for me. I tried my friend's who has a medical card, prior to our state legalizing it.
Once it was legal, I got the oil, but without the medical card, I can only get a certain kind. I stupidly didn't think I could overdose on it- boy was I wrong. Ended up in ER thinking I was having strokes when I kept blacking out and came to in the floor. In the ER I learned that even tho the state legalized it, possession is still a federal crime (???!?). I felt really really stupid having a doctor tell me this at the age of 39. He sent my mother out of the room so that I could be told this and I felt like a total busted teenager.
Furthermore I learned that various kinds put me into flashbacks from having been drugged and r*ped as a child.
I swore I'd never use it again, but am finding that it is the only thing helping my hysterectomy pain. I combine it with massage cream and use it topically. That's the only way my head doesn't feel it. It reduces my pain by about half.

I might be nearing the end of the car accident issues... got a referral for core strengthening PT, 6 sessions, just to teach me.

The pain is better... I guess. It's back to where it was before the accident. So, better, I guess.

Hi guys not sure you. Noticed but I haven't been on much between a migraine and chest pain which turns out to be pleurisy but the high does of pred is making me have massive stomach issues my chest pain is better but this stomach pain is killing me. And trying to run to the bathroom it seems like it's a game to our youngest cat he thinks is a race when I get up and start running to the bathroom I swear if he makes me fall I am sending him to his aunt Liz

Oh the pot thing I know a lot is of people it has helped in my state it's for medical use then this past election it was legalized but that will not go into affect till 2018 unless trump pulls it.

The good thing about it being for medical use is that they regulate it meaning they only sell good quality and they have what you need. And I am not making much sense. Look up harbor side in Oakland California. You will see the people there know what type is best for you and your illness.

I have had no food except for four tablespoons of broth, for days now. I can't eat because of the colitis. I am to see the Dr's nurse assistant Monday morning at 10:30. If she doesn't help me satisfactorily, I'm going to ask to see the Dr asap. That will make her mad, but it's better than being so sick.

I had a water line break in the utility room around midnight last night. I wouldn't have noticed it, but Belle started drinking water off the kitchen floor! It was finally fixed around 4:00 this a.m. and the maintenance man came back and cleaned up the mess this morning.

It seems to be that 2017 is giving us all issues. I thought it was just me but it seems to be everyone.

Please take extra care guys. I am currently up to 60mg a pred a day on Sunday I can go down to 50 I hate the side effects but the chest pain is easing up.

Cake, I'm so glad you are feeling a bit better. Prednizone is difficult to take, but I think it's worth it. It always makes me feel so much better. I only get it when I have a URI and it helps my breathing so much, that I don't mind the other side effects.

Well, 2017 is turning out to be a bear for about all of us. I sure hope it gets better. It's downright scary!

I washed all the towels that I had to use to soak up the water from the floor. I am exhausted today. I broke down and ate some Rice Krispies. It didn't work, but at least I had something on my stomach for a while.

I called the vet about Belle's continued scratching and coughing. I have to go get prescription allergy medicine and prescription food. Let's hope it helps her. The food is $40 a bag for eight pounds and I don't know how much the prescription will cost. It's scary, but she's worth it though.

Yes, definitely noticed and have been wondering if you were OK or not. Funny about the cat but not funny otherwise. I sure hope that that medication helps you and that you can get off it soon! Lots and lots of hugs!

Liz, One thing I have noticed about using the CBD oil is a late onset of total body skin pain. So I wonder if it creates a bit of a pain feedback loop which really wouldn't be helpful ultimately. For me it is a toss-up right now between which is worse. I can't tell if I am constantly in a mild fibromyalgia flair or if it is caused by that feedback loop. Even my scalp and hair hurt.

Thank you for the post and the beautiful flowers and pictures. They are so heart lifting.

I may have Crohns. One of the tests was positive for it. The gastro does think that maybe it's extreme IBS set off by the nitwit taking all my prescription IBS away. I am going to have to swallow a pill with a camera in it and it will transmit pictures of my digestive system to a computer. Isn't that cool? It will tell us for sure if I have Chrohns.

I looked it up and I have 98% of all the possible symptoms. Yet, I have the symptoms of IBS, too, so who knows. I didn't know that you can have Crohns, IBS and Ulcerative Colitis also.

Either way, we'll have to work it out so I can get better. My goal is to get each problem solved so I can live a healthy life.

I am on what's called a FODMAP diet and on new medications in addition to all the other medications. He put me back on prescription Immodium. I told him it's not enough, but I can't make him give me more.

I paid about $125 for all of Belle's things yesterday. Then I got home and looked up the allergy med and there is a huge warning not to give it to dogs under 12 months. So, that was $25 wasted. I'm not giving it to her.

Hi all,
Had my hysterectomy six week post op appointment. She said it looks like I have a couple more weeks healing to do and all the sutures can still be seen. She said it would take 3 to 6 months for them to dissolve. I'm having a terrible time mood wise and trying to figure out how the hormone and my psych meds can work together effectively. The surgeon tried giving me a patch versus the pill except that I have an adhesive allergy… I have a feeling they're going to be hives on my butt! I'm supposed to wear this patch for seven days… We will see. At least the severe body pain has ended that was taking over my skin and scalp.
I guess I will have to go back in the hospital tomorrow Really not looking forward to it. At least I can enjoy one more good night's sleep here.

I went to the Pain Management Doctor today. He works in a practice of several doctors. He looks like he's about twenty years old and he definitely has not outgrown his weird hair style looks from his teens.

I was asked a blue million questions today. It was all rapid fire and the ones about my back pain were asked in different ways over and over again. All they would have needed was a spotlight and I would have felt like I was in a police interrogation.

He is going to do two procedures to my back. One is a cortizone injection in my spine and the other is a block to my spine and will also involve a shot in the spine itself. I am not thrilled, but the alternative of living with this pain is grim.

He's also wanting to do some procedures to my knees and I've researched it tonight and I don't like the sounds of it. The reviews on Synvisc injections are horrible. I'll talk to the Orthopedic Specialist about it tomorrow. I trust the Ortho. I'm not sure I trust the Pain Specialist in that regard.

Are all of you ok? Are you nice and warm? The big blizzard bypassed me, but it's so very cold here.

Belle is doing really well, but she doesn't like the cold. She is now taking a nap on my heating pad. Don't worry, it's on low and goes off automatically.
